Every Sunday this guy takes any chance that he can to talk about how much he thinks LSU is over rated and not very good.
This morning he went on about how we’ve been overhyped every year since 2012 and that last year was just a fluke. As for this year, he says, “I just don’t think that they are a very good team.”
When he was with Athlons, I didn’t care, but now he’s got a much bigger soapbox at CBS Sports....

He’s just trolling at this point. LSU has some deficiencies last year and no one but Bama was able to exploit them.
In my opinion, some of those holes have been closed for this season.

I understand both sides of the argument, to be honest.
LSU has some things to prove on the offensive side of the ball. Until we can prove that we can score points when we need to, he has a point.
On the other side of the argument, Barrett Sallee has had it out for LSU as far as I can remember. And what made his disdain for LSU flow over was the Hurricane Matthew fiasco with Florida. When UF beat LSU that year he was all over us.

He knows to attention he has to get a fan base riled.
He picked LSU to finish 5th in 2017.

On what do you base that opinion? I haven’t seen Finebaum give LSU any love since the 2011 regular season....

I don't watch Paul all that often, but I've heard him be very complimentary of LSU and Orgeron lately when I have tuned into his show.

He's an Auburn grad and is probably finding it hard to come to terms with the fact that when LSU beats Auburn again in Tiger Stadium this year, it will make it 20 years since Auburn has beaten LSU in Baton Rouge.
Without the blown fumble call against aTm last year,
LSU would have been an 11-win team with its only losses coming to the eventual #2 and #6 teams in the final poll.
The only guys they lost who are difficult to replace are Devin White and Cole Tracey. Greedy was great, but we have Stingley coming in to join Delpit, Fulton and co. and although Foster Moreau was good, we didn't utilize all of his skills much, so LSU will just have everyone back with more experience. Burrow will have much more experience and he should have an elite RB behind him this year to go with talented WRs who now finally have real experience. I don't know why he would think LSU is not a very good team.

He does the same schtick every year. Best not to entertain it.
This is what he does. He says LSU is overrated every summer. If he's right, he'll take credit. If he's wrong, he'll just say it was a fluke and they're still overrated, let me tell you why ...
