This is like Kamara’s rookie preseason when he went on one run, and Payton was like “he’s done until Week 1. Seen enough.”

It was nuts. We had people spitting blood about passing up a generational talent in Darius Garland.

Hell, we just had a thread started yesterday about whether KBW was as good as Hayes.

I’m downloading Instagram so I can follow Hayes after the game and see a massive number of new followers on his Instagram.

I’m not sure I can recall a team in any sport completely recreate the entire franchise top to bottom personnel and culture wise and public perception wise in a month. We went from the biggest joke of a franchise in the league to probably one of the top 3-5 run franchises in the league overnight. I guess we could put Saints 2006 in that ballpark, but it wasn’t so obvious right off the bat in the off-season.

There was like 20 pages of two dudes melting about Hayes.

That’s a funny way to put it. Now see from my side of things, it was people like you melting because I said he might not be a great fit with Zion because he can’t shoot and there is a real chance he might never develop a shot.

Just to be clear, I’m not sure how getting a free run to the rim and dunking the ball over a guy standing still would lead to you trying to call people out. His athleticism was never the issue.

pretty much all of us were saying it should be Hayes if none of Garland, Culver or White dropped.

This is laughable. Go back and read.

Lol at all the fricks who came on here shitting on him after we picked him 8th.

I loved the pick. Pair that guys with Zion and Derrick Favors! We got something brewing.

And NAW, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s cuz was slammed too! As if he didnt shine at VTech, they even beat Duke last season.

Lol, this board is so clueless about basketball

Correct. This board melted so pathetically, if you even tried fo defend Griffins picks everyone cried foul and shite bricks.

Question Griffin at your own risk at this point. He know what he’s doing.

He’s the perfect fit with Zion. Two fricking athletic freak rim runners.

Do I have to mention his fricking college FT percentage again and how it indicates he will be able to shoot threes, just like AD???? LOL.

Kid shot over 70% from FT he will be able to knockdown 3’s.

I don’t mind admitting that I wasn’t sure about Hayes but I’m glad to eat crow pie if he keeps this up. Just put a little Tony’s on it!! He’s awesome!

LOTS of people melted over Hayes.

I remember because I suggested trading back with the Hawks for Hayes the morning before the draft and got a ton of push back

Garland will still be an all star but this trade back looks like it’s going to work out just fine. Hayes is 2 years beyond where I thought he would be. I liked the NAW pick. I was absolutely not a fan of the trade back on draft night but I change my mind.
