UNC/Wake Forest will play a game this year that doesn’t count towards their ACC records

They play on 9/12 in a “non-conference” game that won’t count towards their conference records. Thought that was pretty interesting

Couldn't fill their non-conference schedules?

Why so early? Season usually doesn’t start until November.

SEC should move to a 6/2 or 6/3 conference schedule with Alabama/Tennessee and Auburn/Georgia doing this if their games are so important.

They’re playing it because their conference is now so big they only play once every couple years and they’re supposed to be a rival. So they want to actually play each other. Conferences are too big.

Not a bad idea for you know who

I've been saying this for years.

This sounds more likely.
People are clamoring for UNC-Wake in football?

Many have been saying they should do this for years but Bama and Tennessee fans act like it's some insane idea that could never work.

I love when fans of other SEC schools tacitly admit that Bama and Tennessee break out the Pimp Hand on them.

How about we just go to 9 conference games.

Alabama
Arkansas
Auburn
Georgia
Ole Miss
Missouri
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
None of these schools have any reason to have a problem with the current setup, so the other schools’ fans should kinda get over it.

If we do away with permanent rivals.

Most southern teams are fine because there are only two P5 schools in most states.
Georgia-Georgia Tech
Clemson-South Carolina
Tennessee-Vanderbilt
Alabama-Auburn
Ole Miss-Mississippi State
Kentucky-Louisville
It’s an issue for the North Carolina schools because there are 4 of them and they put them in separate divisions.
