Asked for it Sunday evening at the Burbank location close to Bluebonnet, said they were out.

Not sure if that's true, but they refused to sell them then at that location.

Saw on the news that customers were attacking the workers at some location bc they could not get the sandwiches out fast enough!

I thought I heard someone was stabbed fighting for the chicken sandwich!

People are stupid! The chicken sandwich is the GOAT for $3.99!!!

Just picked up my first PSCS since the rerelease.

Only 2 cars in front of me at my local Popeyes. From time i ordered to time Im driving away was less than 5 minutes. Keisha at the window said “Enjoy your sandwich!”

Great experience 10/10 will do again.

Thought you good folks might be wuffin' me about these lines.

Nope. Came in hot off the NB I-65 Oxmoor exit on the way home, and had to hit the binders when I ran into 2+ blocks of brake lights from cars trying to get in.

Over an hour later, the remnant backup still shows up on Google maps.

So I tried it. Didn’t meet any of my expectations. I could whip one up in less than 5 minutes that’s better than that. Way over hyped.

Someone brought me one and I'm eating it now. Friend said there was no line inside wherever it was he went. Drive thru had a line. Mine is the spicy version. I like the bun, the contrast of the crispy texture of the meat (not all of it was very crispy, though) and the spicy mayo. They were out of pickles so I added my own. Breast meat is very very dry. The meat was thick in the middle and did not cover the entire bun as I've seen in pictures.

It's a convenient well priced sandwich, but I don't know that I would get one again other than to try it twice to see if it's better the second time.

Keep in mind that I can't recall the last time I had a chicken sandwich of any kind. It's just not something I would order.

Popeyes uses some special pickles on that sandwich. They aren't your typical burger pickles. Give it another shot and ask for extra sauce and pickles.

Great sandwich, but the lines do not warrant it. People are so stupid. Oh and in true Popeye’s form, they gave me the regular chicken sandwich instead of the spicy after I specifically asked for the spicy. It made the experience that much more authentic though.

That's what my friend said he ordered. There was just barely enough sauce, so I don't know if I got extra or not. His didn't have a lot of sauce, so maybe I did. I don't think pickles will make the chicken less dry, though. :)

Sound like it was just Popeyes being Popeyes and screwing up your order . I just ask every time because the first one I got had no pickles and I wanted more sauce. IMO having both pickles and a good amount of sauce brings the sandwich from pretty good to awesome.

The mayo is simply spread on the bread. It’s not squeezed or globbed on. Mayonnaise. If ya put a bunch on, people would want less. If ya spread it on, people want more

And how the hell do they run out of pickles? Seriously level of ineptitude

I'm not sure I understand what you are getting at. I like more sauce than they put on...

I wasn't implying that they ran out. They forgot to put them on.
