A CNN reporter was stunned by the depth of support for President Donald Trump he saw represented by a Trump supporter in Florida ahead of the president's re-election rally on Tuesday.
CNN's Ed Lavandera was reporting about the kickoff event for the president's re-election campaign when he interviewed Trump supporter Ed Ardito.
"Do you worry that President Trump's divisiveness, his lies, are gonna hurt him in the long run?" asked Lavandera.
"I don't think so because I, you can't," responded Ardito, "you'd have to tell me what he's lied about, first of all, I don't think he's lied about anything, and as far as divisiveness..."
"You don't think he's lied about anything?" Lavandera interrupted.
"No," Ardito replied.
Lavandera also seemed startled by the tradition pre-dating Trump that Christians should pray for their leaders.
"The devotion to President Trump is so intense here that a recent meeting of the village Republicans started out with a prayer asking God to 'deliver President Trump from the evil that is bent on destroying him,'" Lavandera reported.
Trump kicked off his re-election campaign for 2020 with a large rally in Orlando, Florida.

The MSM loves to load their questions and statements with false premises.

CNN claims Trump lies everytime he moves his lips
it all started with the Crowd sizes of his inaugural and the Daniels story...
"He told staff to lie, to say he didn't want to fire Mueller"
I mean, this kind of stuff is what we're talking about....Trump voters understand Trump and why he was pissed that CNN tried to make his election look way less enthesiatic relative to support the day he was placed in office with that Obama comparison photo...
that was unnecessary by CNN...but make no mistake it was intentional...
Stormy Daniels, let's see, I believe Trump won that case and she owe's him several hundred thousand
He didn't fire Mueller...so it's pity BS to get on Trump for being a human who hated this fake investigation to take him down...
Screw democrats...I hate what they have become....they have been over run with Progressives, the country is in big trouble if we're honest
After Trump is gone then what? Progressives keep indoctrinating our schools, the deep state is what it is, and we lose...we eventually fall to socialism....

BREAKING: Christians pray for elected officials
Christians have been doing this since before George Washington was in office but now that Trump is in office it’s “news”
Never change CNN

1. Nothing wrong with praying for anyone ... even a President, whether you do or do not like his policies
2. I can see ANYONE being confused by someone claiming that Trump never lies about anything.
But there are PLENTY of times that he simply makes things up from whole cloth. I do not think this stems from being inherently untruthful. There is just something in his personality that makes him incapable of leaving the impression that he does not know something. So, if he does not know something, he tends to just make something up. Yes, it is a character defect, but not unique to Trump.
Lastly, Trump tends to misuse terminology in a way that renders his statements imprecise and perhaps even inaccurate. This arises from the fact that he is not well-read, and I do NOT mean that as an insult in this context. We are all acquainted with the guy who is the most knowledgeable person in town on a given topic, and simply has little knowledge AT ALL about anything else. My father is that guy regarding livestock, and Trump is that guy regarding real estate and sales/marketing. The result is that he can be imprecise when speaking outside that field. Some insist upon calling that imprecision a “lie.”. (e.g. bleach bit vs acid wash)

quote:I am not one who asserts Trump cannot move his lips without lying, and MOST of his untruths fall into the category of “puffing,” rather than outright fabrication. His background is sales/marketing. It would be silly to expect a complete change in his communication style upon gaining elective office.

As if the very organization this SOB works for isn't trying to destroy Trump and his Presidency.

a recent meeting of the village Republicans
That would be The Villages, Florida. Gary Morse (the late developer) was a huge GOP backer, even got to be part of the Electoral College.
And remember Sarah Palin? When she stopped there, the crowd was estimated at 60K.
The Villages is prime GOP territory for anyone running for office in Florida.

What's more telling is how much more of the conversation with the Puerto Ricon lady they showed, than they did of the conversation of the Trump Supporter.

His mind will really be blown when he learns we prayed for Obama too.

From the network that had a black legal analyst (Areva Martin) accuse a black FOX TV personality (David Webb) of having "white privilege."
But but but...President Trump is divisive, dammit.

This is reminiscent of Susan Roesgen screaning and arguing with members of the Tea Party. She was exposed for selectively finding signs which she believed insulted Obama the type signs the media totaally ignored during the Bush administration and which they ignore today that insult Trump. They only want to justify their meme and don't even admit their hypocrisy.
