Yeah, we aren't sending Jrue to the Suns. If Jrue wants out of a rebuild, he will be sent to a better organization.

MM is claiming the Wolves would send BobCov and multiple picks for #4 if the Pels took on the contract of Dieng

Covington makes no sense with Ingram on the roster.

This seems dumb

That makes no sense either. Wouldn’t we get a better vet with 4?

I really don't like the idea of flipping 4 for 8 and 10.

For clarification, the hypothetical was 4, Moore, Solo for 11, Covington, Dieng, top 5 protected 2020.

Which I don't think is bad, but ideally I just want to draft 4 and develop the young talent.

We need a better deal than that to eat about $60m in contracts.

Covington’s good enough but Dieng is godawful and is personally owed about $35m across the seasons.

It’s very possible none of them are there at 8. They are projected to be taken 4-7

We are sitting pretty with future picks. At some point we need to have that mix of vets and young talent. 4 gets us a quality guy along with Zion and the other young guys we just acquired. Let it play out this year and go from there. Beal and Turner are the only ones I think we should realistically go after with assets, but it may cost too much. Turner intrigues me the most since he won't cost nearly as much.

Turner is under contract the next 4 years for $18 million a year.

I agree, you have to look at building a championship roster.

Either Beal or Turner might be the piece that pushes this team into championship contention sooner than later. Any lesser player is not worth it. Griff is smartly focused on this and no worries. He gets it.

Ball/Jrue/Ingram/Zion/Turner
Ball/Jrue/Beal/Ingram/Zion (if center is a tall guy maybe Ingram could guard him, otherwise Zion take him)

I think either of these could develop into a top contender in a couple years. If you can get there cheaply, and then tweek the roster as necessary, go for it.

Very attractive contract.

I assume you’d have to give up at least one of Ball or Ingram to get Beal, so that lineup I don’t think is realistic.

I actually would consider this after working Garland/Hunter/Culver out and getting a feel on them. If you love any if them, stay where youre at and make the pick. If not, adding on the extra year from Dieng isnt a huge deal(compared to Solo). Cov is good depth. Also could be a replacement if we dont like what we see out of Ingram next year. Next years draft is supposed to be better and The TWolves should be a lottery team again. Also, can draft a big man at 11 also.

I would rather keep the 4 and take Garland.

Wouldn’t be the first time we have hustled another team to death in a trade.
