You mean more people aren't willing to finance a 78K vehicle for 84 months? Shocking.

We will print more money and government will spend more money.
We will continue to say the economy is so strong as we do with all presidents.
It is all papered over. Fiat money and debt based currency at its finest.

You should be able to do better than 4% on a loan. I got that for a used vehicle

In the 80’s you could buy a single cab Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu, Mazda, or Mitsubishi/ Dodge under $10k most around $5k to $7k for loaded ones.
Mazda use to have a commercial only Mazda has a truck for just $5795 that’s a nice price.
I thought paying $119 for a Ford Ranger with California emissions for 5 yrs versus Toyota guys paying $99 a month was a lot of money back then.
Times have changed.

The market will eventually correct itself. It did with silly loans for overpriced real estate a decade ago, the auto industry is long overdue for one. The question is will they prop it up again via bail out "cash for clunkers 2.0" or will they let the market correct on its own?

I saw a 240 month note on a boa
I had never heard of this u til I went look at a camper. He talked about a 120 or 240 month loan. I had to take a minute to think about it. I just started laughing.

That is 10 to 20 years of a financial commitment.

I just wish they’d start making compact pickups again.

My mortgage is like 3.8% for the next 20+ years. If someone plopped a few hundred thousand in front of me, it's being invested. I'll continue to pay my mortgage.
You are under the assumption you can pick an investment that will create better than 3.8% return for 20 years.

Are there really people taking 96 month loans?
I think it's funny. None should be more than 2 years.

Excellent
By the time I get a new one next year it’ll be affordable with my employee discount, rebates, and anything else I can get added on.

Same thing with your midsized sedan/crossover comment. Camrys and Accord start under $20k. Full loaded they are around $35k, but there are many many models that are under $30k.

2019 subuaro outback sport.. 4 cylnder 175 hp for 31k? Will last 15+ years if you just do simple maintenance.
My wife's last Subaru Outback's engine went bad. We got a free engine replacement, but luckily it was still under warranty.
I've had 3 vehicles transmissions go bad in the last 10 years.. Honda Odyssey (100k miles), Mazda 626 (90k miles), and my current Fusion Hybrid (75k miles). My Fusion is at Green Ford right now getting a new transmission. Again, luckily the hybrid motor train is warranted for 100k miles or I'd be out $6,000 right now.
I keep hearing about these cars that last forever. I don't seem to be the one buying them.
