So brave.

A star of the U.S. Women's soccer team kept her promise to ignore the celebration of the national anthem as an 'f-you' to President Donald Trump.
Megan Rapinoe said that she would probably never sing the national anthem again before a game as a sort of protest against the president.
"I'll probably never put my hand over my heart," she told Yahoo News in May. "I'll probably never sing the national anthem again."
Cameras caught her stoically standing silent as her teammates put their hands over their hearts and sang the national anthem before Tuesday's Women's World Cup game against Thailand.
Some viewers commented on social media about her subtle protest.
In 2016 Rapinoe, who is openly gay, was the first white athlete to kneel during the national anthem to support the protest by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
"I feel like it's kind of defiance in and of itself to just be who I am and wear the jersey, and represent it," Rapinoe continued in the Yahoo News interview.
"Because I'm as talented as I am," she added, "I get to be here, you don't get to tell me if I can be here or not."
The U.S. Women's team routed Thailand 13-0, with Rapinoe scoring one goal.

Would y'all please stop giving him attention? I really don't want to see this dude revive the Kaepernick hype.

As long as she scores goals, I can ignore her ignorance.

Leave it to this count to disrespect the original pride flag.

When did Trump tell her she couldn’t be there?
Sounds like she just wants to be a victim.

What country has been better for gays than here? Maybe the Nordic countries, but that’s it.

Who knew that members of one of the greatest women's soccer teams on the planet could be so oppressed. Frick the haters. The USA is the greatest, most diverse, most opportunity-giving nation in the history of man kind.
