yes, shite ton of alieve will do a little bit, but go to a doc in the box get the steroid shot and go get the script filled for the 7 day steroid pack, trust me it will knock it out a hell of a lot quicker than toughing it out with home remedies.

Level teaspoon of baking soda in 6 oz water.
Twice a day at the first twinge of a flair up.
You have to get and keep your ph balance at 7 or better for your body to shed the crystal forming environment.
Apple cider vinegar daily will also help.
Stop drinking beer until you’re feeling better, or longer.
Take one black cherry tablet a day, forever. $12 a month.
Don’t go cheap with the Black Cherry. You need great quality like Natures Plus brand.

After it's cleared up get on allopurinol. Don't stop taking it.

Stop drinking alcohol and eating red meat. Drink a shite ton of cherry juice and dilute some apple cider vinegar a few times a day.
For me that stalls the pain but ultimately I have to go to the doctor every time for a prescription. It’s worth it.

Just go to the doctor. Steroid shot or indomethacin is your friend.

Also, regard yourself as a lab rat and over time, you will isolate your triggers and best prevention methods.
I found Earl Grey tea, black or green to be a major trigger. Beer less so and oysters and seafood even less, so I enjoy those in moderation.
The earl grey teas? Never again.

I believe it's called "the gout"...
Posted on 6/6/19 at 10:46 am to grillcheese14
Gout is the ultimate first world problem. There’s a reason it’s called the “disease of kings.” I get a couple flare-ups a year. They fricking suck. Horrible pain. But the other 360 days of the year I drink beer and eat good food.

Not yet, but my dad, grandad, and one of my dad's brothers had or have gout, so I'm guessing it's only a matter of time for me

I've had it a few times and it can be quite painful. Beer & red meat definitely don't help but unless you have chronic issues with it staying hydrated helps prevent it for me.

Dealing with it right now in both feet my friend. It sucks a huge dick.

Most say alcohol can be bad for it, but I've found (from experience) that if you put down a fifth of your preferred spirits; the gout will be flushed out by the next morning. It doesn't help long term though and will probably come back in a few days. A big bowl of black cherries also works well along with coffee and plenty of water. Best thing to do is get a prescription for colchicine.

Water,water.water. I drink 32 ounces first thing in the morning and then 3-4 bottles throughout the day. Beer is my trigger and really nothing else so I’ve made the switch to straight bourbon with an occasional beer and have been able to control my flair ups without taking anything else. I really miss beer.
