What?

They do.

This is the same guy that mocks Lebron fans when they hint that Lebron left Cle the first time because Cle wouldn’t get him enough help.

The reason to dislike the warriors because of this is because they continued to shimmy/flex their way sweeping everyone in their path knowing damn well what they did (adding a top 5 player to a team that finished with the best record of all time).

This team has none of these accolades if they don’t get that loser KD to join their squad and they aren’t humble at all about it. They are a product of circumstance not hard work. Very unlikeable.

I get disliking KD. I don't get disliking the Warriors.

Acquiring historic talent levels is a front office success, not circumstance. Acting like they lucked into arguably the most talented roster of all time...that is a tremendous achievement for a front office.

Yeah, KD pulled an insanely wussy move. That's not the Warriors fault. They did exactly what they should have done. Should they not have swept people to make things seem different?

The job of an organization is to maximize the chance of winning. The Warriors have been historically successful at that.

This is the first time I’m pulling for GS to win. That way it doesn’t look like KD is the reason for their success.

If they can win without him, it cheapens his legacy imo. And yes, I’m upset bc he made the NBA uncompetitive when he left OKC.

Great post

They have also had a ton of very fortunate events go in their favor

2015- face Cavs without kyrie and love
2017- Kawhi goes out
2018-down 3-2 and cp3 goes out

So even with possibly the most loaded roster ever , they have had some events happen when they were somewhat on the ropes that made it even easier. That isn’t their fault, but it rubs people the wrong way. That’s just the human element

The warriors absolutely did the right thing, I think the way their players handled it makes them unlikeable if that makes sense. They acted as if this success wasn’t a product of creating an extemely unfair playing field.

Any group of 4 all stars will win multiple titles in the NBA. It’s not supposed to happen, and if they had to stick with their blueprint and their 3 (boarderline with Draymond) all stars I can absolutely say they would not be on the verge of a 3 peat and 4/5

Honestly, the biggest luck they had was the salary cap expansion at the same time KD became available.

The Warriors did get some luck, but had some bad luck as well (Iggy being injured vs the Rockets, Steph being a little hobbled in 2016). The thing they've really done is capitalize on their luck.

That's not a small thing. Finishing the chances is what separates the winners, and GS has finished.

They faced the cavs without their second and third leading scorers, and their leading rebounder

You want me to call them player B and player C to make you feel better?

And they still went up 2-1. The straw that broke the camels back was Matthew Dellavedova running out of gas and going into a full body cramp after Game 3. He was straight doo doo the rest of the series. Cleveland ran out of warm bodies at guard.

stop what? Even if you think Love wasn’t great against the Warriors, he was better than James frickin Jones who they had to play significant minutes at the 4.
