Pitching being equal, BA favors Southern Miss, how is this good for LSU?

RHP Eric Walker (5-4, 5.32 ERA)
LHP Josh Lewis (1-0, 5.87 ERA)
Pitching being sort of equal, Southern Miss's batting average is higher than LSU's, this game appears to be a big scoring affair that hopefully LSU wins. But make no mistake, this game favors Southern Miss. Wish Hilliard was pitching.

Eric Walker is a starter who doesn’t get the benefit of one and two out innings. The other guy is a short term reliever who gets that all the time. These are not equal pitchers. Their guy sucks.

It's not equal this dude has has 1 win compared to walker who is like 5-6 way more experienced. Plus you can't really talk about BA when we play in SEC they don't.

LSU played 35 gams against tier 1 teams. BA isn’t the only metric in baseball and it sure as hell isnt an accurate representation of talent all the time.

We played pretty well last night. Aside from the granny they hit, we held their batters in check. The level of competition both teams faced is also vastly different. I feel like you’re reaching.

I'll be glad to be wrong. but Southern Miss is hammering the ball. Hate that this game is sort of a coin toss. Anything can happen in baseball. I hate seeing LSU fans already counting their chickens, that this is already a win and looking forward to Fla State. Stop!
