If a product is available locally, do you still buy on Amazon?

Let’s say you’re looking to buy a nice pair of made in USA Danner boots...
A local men’s clothing shop has them for $315, but you can get them on Amazon Prime for $290.
Do you buy local, or order on Amazon?

Whichever one costs less.

Amazon
I’ll support local when they have better products and gladly pay more for it.
For the same product? I’m going to whoever has it the cheapest.

Amazon. Forget "buying local". I "buy cheap" regardless of where it comes from. Cash is king.

Local.
I only use Amazon as a last resort for things I either can't find locally, or can't find through a different online vendor.

I’m not on Amazon but I try to support locally owned shops and stores.

Depends on how fast I want it

Unless I'm buying a replacement for something I already have, I like to look at it first before I buy it.

Clothing, generally no. Groceries, no.
Other items, they started getting most of them to me in 2 days and it’s tough to beat that if the price is the same or less.

If it is local & from a privately owned company, I'd shop local. I don't really care if a corporate chain has the product at a nearby store.

depends on the price, some of the stuff I get on Amazon is up to 50% cheaper than in the local brick and mortar(I hate that term

I likely buy locally because I can try them on and make sure they fit properly. Also, returns and service are easier when I buy locally.

I won't shop at them. Plain brick for me. I have a distaste for mortar.

I'll admit if I'm too busy to get to a storefront, I'll order a few pairs of shoes I'm interested in from Zappos, try them on, send them all back, then go buy the ones I like best locally.

The local shite is often 25-50% more than Amazon. frick them. If they can’t offer it in the same ballpark I’ll continue to go to Amazon and wait one day for delivery.

Depends on how quickly I want them. If I want them now I’ll buy local. If I have time to wait I’ll order them online.

I order a lot of small stuff on Amazon. If I need a few pair of grey socks I'm not making a trip to the store, which may or may not have what I'm looking for, just for this.

As others have said, it depends on how quickly I need it and how big the price difference is.
I buy all kinds of sub $20 items at a local hardware store, but big ticket items are likely going with an Amazon or other major retailer.
