Any of you had your kids play in that system? Seems extremely expensive and time consuming. Is it worth the money?

Depends.

Is his name Braxtyn? If so, he will suck and your money will be a waste.

Is his name Braxxtyn? If so, he will be the best average player in travel ball.

Is his name Braxxxtyn? He's going to be a baller, future pro, and bang pornstars on the reg. Your money will not be a waste.

My wife's son, Jaxyn, plays and we are on the road every weekend watching his games.

I have been coaching a team year-round for several seasons. I can already tell from the types of questions you ask that your kid won't be able to contribute meaningfully. You're looking at a $50k+ investment and multiple years. That's what it takes. Don't like it? Hope your kid is good at Fortnite.

It's all about the program you are involved with. Some people think 20 grand a year and taking all of your vacations in travel ball tournament locations is ridiculous. But the memories and rings last forever.

If your wife is hot enough, your time investment will be minimized. Send her alone with your son to all of the out of town tournaments and he'll get lots of playing time.

Pls submit pics for evaluation your wife....I mean your son's chances of playing.

Easton isn't gonna get any better by you living vicariously through him. Don't try to specialize him, he'll be better off playing multiple sports

Not an easy answer as the better kids play and the not so good kids play. I do know that Ben Sheets’ travel ball team that played together since 9 years old won several State Championships yesterday. I know of at least 4 of his players that won State Championships. 2 for St. Paul’s, 1 for Barbe and 1 for Sterlington. Of those, 2 have committed to LSU and 1 to Southern Miss.

Now, the one going to LSU that plays SS and pitches, pitches very little. His dad has made sure not to let people abuse his arm. He only pitched 15 innings during the high school season and had an ERA of 0

Travel baseball seems miserable. I couldn't imagine having to plan my vacations around crappy cities my kid is playing in.

My son’s done the travel, club, soccer thing for a few years now, and the hotels for 12-15 tournaments a year is the expensive part. Eating out those weekends is as well.

However, competing with the best kids in the region is priceless, even if they don’t make the US or FC Dallas team (whatever your measure of success is). My boy developed grit that I just don’t think he would have happened otherwise. He’s a very confident fella and knows if he puts his mind to something he can get it done. He’s decided to quit club to play school sports, but he knows he’s going out on top.
