Draftkings tweeted this out yesterday.

How are they going to restrict fantasy sports gambling to physical locations?

As for as I know, the only way you can gamble on fantasy sports (other than having fantasy football leagues that pay out at the end of the season) are through companies like DraftKings or FanDuel.

There are 9 states that black Draftkings and FanDuel.

Arizona
Alabama
Hawaii
Idaho
Iowa
Louisiana
Montana
Nevada
Washington (state)

I understand why Nevada would block it.. But I think it's bullshite that it was voted on and now that it passed they are trying to change things up.

Ok. Fine pay the same amount of taxes as other forms of gambling or reduce the taxes paid by these other forms of gambling.

Which makes sense. First group represents a portion of the population that is more likely to be poor and gambling negatively effects the poor at a greater level than those better off. The others are taking the "moral" high road. Growing up in North LA, they really are the fun police. They hate anything remotely fun.

I have one question? Why should other forms of gaming pay 26-32.5% in taxes while draft kings gets to pay 8%. Just even the playing field for everybody. Either Draft Kings pays more or other forms of gaming pay less.

Sounds good right?

A majority of them are probably from North of Alexandria.

I'm giving 2:1 odds. Who wants to bet?

I assume it has something to do with DK and FanDuel have been able to get themselves classified as a skill based game and not purely gambling game of chance. And yes I realize that Blackjack also has an element of skill but is legally consider a game of chance.

After it was voted on (most but not all parishes voted in favor of it), it was said that when session started they would work out the details then and should be legal by the end of session.

While in session LFF has been one group pushing against it.

I just looked at the results of each parish. 17 parishes didn't pass it.
