The team takes on the personality of their coach. And when the coach blames everybody and everything but himself, wtf does he think the players are going to do? They don’t want to play for a guy that constantly throws shade at them in post game interviews. Not to mention he looks defeated from the opening pitch. It’s time people. Sad to say but it’s time.

The only thing he has always been good at is deflecting blame onto the athletes and throwing them under the bus.

PM needs to retire. He has lost his fire, not that he had much to start with. Do the right thing Paul, retire at the end of the season and go out with some dignity. Please do not destroy the program by hanging on.

I said this last weekend and got hammered but I’m gonna say it again. Paul is an a-hole and his players hate him. He needs to go.

Paul Mainieri has a guaranteed contract through 2024. He is not going to “retire” and walk away from that.

If we want him gone someone is going to have to step up and pay about $8 million. I’m just guessing on how much is guaranteed, but I think he makes about a million and a half.

What this means is that CPM is going to hang on until the last vestige of doubt remains. IMO, That moment will come when season ticket sales drop to the point that our revenue takes about $1 million annual hit.

Eric Walker wanted to keep pitching in the fifth inning, but Paul Mainieri brought in Zack Hess because "I didn't know if we'd have another lead the whole weekend." #LSU

"I didn't know if we'd have another lead the whole weekend," Mainieri said.

Walker frowned as Mainieri approached the mound. He wanted to keep pitching.

"I was pretty upset," Walker said. "Obviously, I think we're understaffed right now. I was pretty pissed about coming out.

"But coach has reasons behind everything. I don't know what those were in that situation. I definitely want to extend there. That's something I need to talk to him about because I feel like I could've."

Eric Walker: "We have to have a good game to get us going. That's the bottom line. We haven't put together a whole game yet. If we don't do that, we're going to continue to struggle." #LSU

Eric Walker. A kid being honest, I bet he catches a hundred kinds of hell for saying that.

He was having a go at it.
To say we are understaffed is a huge understatement. I do feel bad for the pitching staff. But our backend staff is really off right now.
