Thoughts on Oatmeal?

Looking for a decent breakfast alternative that's quick and easy. Oatmeal is a traditional option. You can add protein to it along with other things like chia and fruit and it supposedly helps with cholesterol. Guessing this doesn't fall into the keto diet?
I ordered a blend from TrueNutrition this week. Mix of oats, dried strawberries, dried blueberries, chia, and micellar casein. Should be 40 grams carbs and 20 grams protein per serving. No sugar.

People on this forum who do keto will say you are out of your mind for eating carbs.
I used to eat it a ton and it's honestly really good with cinnamon and bananas. If you're a morning person and actually eat breakfast there are much worse things you can be putting in your body.

Kodiak Cakes Oatmeal. They come in an easy to microwave cup and are high in protein. And they taste good. They’re roughly 250 cals per cup and are perfect before a workout.

WAR!!
If you are not doing keto, oatmeal is a great option for breakfast. I personally just don't like the taste or texture.

Before I switched to keto I ate savory steel cut oats almost every morning.

I’ve read that you’re supposed to soak your oats overnight to get rid of the phytic acid. If you don’t, the phytic acid will bind and not be absorbed by the body, making the practice of eating oats practically pointless.

Overnight oats have become my favorite. Old fashioned oats, milk (I prefer Fairlife to skim), vanilla protein powder, cinnamon, sliced banana, blueberries, chopped walnuts. I've also done them with peanut butter and used chocolate whey...there are tons of recipes online. Regardless, mix them up at night in a mason jar and you can easily eat it in the morning on the go if you want. I like the texture better than regular hot oats, too. I usually eat that and some eggs and get a great, quick meal with good macros.

1/2 cup old fashioned quick oats with sea salt & berries is my breakfast jam. I crave it.

I do overnight oats as well. Just old-fashioned oats, chia seeds, and milk. Then add fruit when it's time to eat.

I used to put a 1/3 cup or so of raw oats in the blender with my protein shakes.
It would thicken it up a bit.
Or I would mix a pack of low sugar maple and brown sugar oats in the shake. This would give it a great flavor.

I have 1/2 dry cup with berries every morning after lifting. Oatmeal is quite low calorie density. Along with brown rice and sweet potato it’s my go-to source for carbs.

I love it. Minute oats in the microwave, add a banana, organic peanut/almond butter, and some cinnamon.

Also, if you’re in a fast food pinch Starbucks sells their oatmeal with sugar and toppings separate so you can add what you like.
They usually come with brown sugar, dried fruit, and nuts for the classic.

I’ll say this, 1/3 cup of oatmeal with 1/3 cup of yogurt makes you FULL.
