Coming up a lot now. In many countries. Most, civilized and of the West.

Function of the education their parents are receiving in University/college?

I think yes.

The modern opinion of accepted behavior is for total acceptance of any passive behaviors and rejection of any assertive behaviors.

Some of my Jr. High & High School behavior now would be considered bullying.

I was always the youngest male kid in my classes (September bd) and I was looking out for myself.

The young ladies noticed that I could take care of myself and that was culturally a positive characteristic for them in potential bfs.

Back in the 80's if you were bullied you just started your own frat with the other victims and whipped the bullies asses at the Greek Games.

I think bullying today is a lot different. This is the one thing I’m on Millineal’s Side with. With social media, people can hide behind a computer and never be held accountable for their actions.

In our day, if you were going to bully someone, you had to face them. Everyone saw. Basically, it hardly ever really happened.

Today, it’s out of control. I’m not sure what the answer is, but I’m glad I’m not raising a kid in these times.

Bullying is a normal part of life. Teach kids to learn to deal with it.

Bullying wasn't a problem when we allowed kids to stand up for themselves. Then we started zero tolerance and the kids that fought back got in just as much trouble as the little shits doing the bullying.

Yet another stupid policy to come out of the boomer generation.

One of the coolest fights I’ve ever seen was in middle school when a kid got tired of being picked on and fought back. The fight ended when the two kids were locked up and the kid head butted the bully. His nose exploded. Exploded. And he collapsed on the ground.

We had a cool arse resource officer that really didn’t give the kid too hard of a time (and that would never happen today). And that little shite never messed with him again. Life lesson learned.
