Some one should link him to that thread, since he's feeling down, why not rub his face in it even more

For those that don't know, Innes aka Scrappy Doo was a Radio personality that went to Philly from BR to do sports talk radio, got fired for saying some borderline racist things if I remember correctly, then got a show in Houston and recently got fired for having no ratings.

He actually went from BR to Houston (got fired I think, 610am), then to Philly (got fired for stuff you mentioned), then back to Houston (got fired again 790am).

I always thought he was entertaining, somewhat liked his most recent show with his girlfriend and Jim. He's just too moody and goes on crazy rants. If he could polish up his schtick, maybe he'd amount to something.

He has a great voice for radio. But he is a horrible human being. Insecurity is his downfall.

I think his show here had good ratings. He got fired because nobody liked him. And he talked shite constantly about every other station and radio personality in the city, hence the burned bridges.

The problem with his show in Houston (790 AM) is that it was for a small percentage of listeners , he had inside jokes and tried to mimic , Houston top sports show the Blitz with Fred and AJ, in some ways. He had some good gags but, sometimes his show was unbearable.

pretty sure this is spot on. he can do what he wants to do in terms of content, but he can't do it without pissing off the world around him

This dude played on our football team when we were kids (for one year actually and quit). He was the biggest and absolute softest kid on the team. He played so timid he actually ended up breaking his arm getting pushed around. What's even worse is his dad would show up to our practices doing his goofy arse voices. Even as young kids we thought it was super weird. I think this was the beginning and end of his football career.

it's the most over-rated story recycled here next to the one about the poster getting locked in the bathroom.

Yes.

His first show in Houston was actually pretty good, was absolutely edgy and rubbed some people wrong, but was pretty good. Moving to PA was an upgrade.

I think he thought all of Philly was obnoxious d-bags (not hard to make that mistake if all you know of Philly is what you see/read). He was pretty good as a d-bag, but then he pushed the line a bit and was branded a racist d-bag and told to hit the bricks.

So he came back to Houston and forgot to scale back the d-bag bit at first. Eventually he did, and his show actually got better as it went on, but that by point he had pissed off everyone around him including a good portion of his audience.

You can be a d-bag and piss off your bosses and competition if you pull great ratings. He pulled just ok ratings and wasn't going to get a new contract, so as is common in the radio world, he got released in minutes, months before the contract was up.

If he has the persona he had at the beginning of his first Houston run, or the end of his second Houston run, it can work. But he has pissed off SO. MANY. PEOPLE. in the business that I'd imagine it's hard for him to find work.

He needs to find an independent station that will give him a chance and not pay him a lot. Perhaps a certain crappy-signal from Houma that bills itself as New Orleans, perhaps in a 12-3 pm time slot...
