Why haven’t the other national Brazilian steakhouses made their way to Baton Rouge?

The Texas de Brazil thread has me wondering why others, like the ones listed below, have not entered the BR market?
Chima Brazilian Steakhouse
Chama Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse
Rodizio Grill
Fogo De Chão
The concept is proven and been around for a while. It’s not something as new as poke or pho.

The parish alone has over 400,000 population not counting Livingston and Ascension Parishes. I think another one would be feasible.

Not enough salt to go around, even with the mines on Avery island

Nola and JP combined population is like 900k and I think we have 2 in JP and one in New Orleans. Outside of that no idea how well the one in BR does.

1 is enough for BR
There was talk about building another Brazilian steakhouse out by the Mall of Louisiana some years ago, but it fell through.
But how often do you eat at those sorts of places. Once a year? Once every couple of years? Once in your lifetime?
I've eaten at Texas de Brazil once, because a friend of mine had a gift card. I don't see any circumstance in which I could convince my wife to go there for dinner -- she's not that big of an eater, she would get grossed out watching me gorge myself on steak. But we eat at a nice steakhouse once or twice a year. Baton Rouge just doesn't have a big enough population to support more than one Brazilian steakhouse.

it's a good question...
all of those are chains with terrible food so you'd think they'd fit right in in baton rouge

sad but true, BR has a penchant for terrible chain restaurants

There hasn’t been a new chain restaurant in Baton Rouge for a while now. I heard Jinya is coming to Perkins Rowe...

Where does this come from? I’d be willing to bet that BR is on par with other American cities its size.
I think the problem is everyone tries to compare Nola(one of the greatest food cities in the WORLD) to BR. It’s dumb.
I think if you put the BR food scene up against other american cities it’s size it would be better than most

Baton Rouge needs a Benihana

Shhhh. Shitting on Baton Rouge restaurants is one of the most popular things on this site. I remember once someone saying the fact that the eateries participating in Restaurant Week were serving tilapia dishes showed that the Baton Rouge food scene once and for all was dead. Nevermind that this is a silly marketing thing designed to goose customer traffic at slow times of the year and how can a restaurant scene be dead? Are people going to stop eating out?

Which ones do we have? I can't think of any of the chains, but it's been a long day.
I have never felt the urge to visit any of these places. If I want a steak, I go to a good steak place.
