That movie was not Captain Marvel.

Dude, this has nothing to do with some “instinctual female power imbalance” and everything to do with both Larson and her character in the films being an arrogant, entirely unlikeable bitch.

Have you seen that interview of her, Hemsworth, and Cheadle? That was quite possibly the most cringy thing I’ve seen since Tom Cruise on Oprah. You could just feel the dislike oozing through the screen.

The same interview where Hemsworth says Larson "won their hearts"?

Yeah that's straight venom there.

You are right.

It was over a Wrinkle of Time.

Confused as to your point?

That each movie is their own thing? That perceptions outside of a film can’t carry in? Typecasting isn’t a thing?

And if someone is vocally unlikeable outside of a film, the visceral reaction to seeing her is compounded by a wooden performance given in the film?

Did you even read what I was replying to?

They are uncomfortable with those people being happy about Captain Marvel being some sort of “achievement”. Brie Larson’s comments about how the movie wasn’t for white guys really reinforced all those suspicions for people. I

There were a ton of complaints about Gadot looking way too tiny to wreck shite.

The complaints were only about Gal being too small breasted to be Wonder Woman. When the movie came out, we all fell in love with the wonder twins.

oh wow that took all of 2 seconds to disprove. Maybe Brie Larson just rubs people the wrong way on and off screen.
this doesn’t mean anything because Wonder Woman wasn’t op. Just like we didn’t have this problem with gamora or black widow. Because womder woman wasn’t as strong as super man, gamora and black widow aren’t stronger than Thor.

Isn't being haughty Iron Man's main personality feature?

I loved the female montage(even though I wish Evangeline Lily was in it I wanted to see her frick shite up with the same sexual energy she fricked Sawyer in that cage with)

She was in it, and that made no sense.

Yes. But she did say it while on the press circuit promoting Captain Marvel.

You are trying too hard to separate the two.

This isn't bringing back an old statement to attack her with.

She voluntarily made it now.

Additionally bookended by comments about how wonderful it is that girls have someone to look up to now that she has arrived...never mind that strong female characters have been headlined in film for more than 40 years.

And no, I am not claiming the above paragraph is a direct quote so no semantic games please.

Naw, she was in the van with Ant-Man. She’s who they were trying to get to.

They have definitely made Captain Marvel ridiculously strong. I didn't find her power level to be at all believable in Endgame. Surely she's not that strong in the comics. Wasn't she supposed to have gone toe-to-toe with Iron Man in Civil War 2? No way movie Iron Man keeps up with movie Captain Marvel like that.

That’s not completely accurate. She got physically stronger because of the Slayer powers as the series went on.

Yes,and that's why her being in the montage made no sense. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I swear I saw her in it.

She was in it. Became normal sized right before Marvel flew off. Which, like you said, made no sense for her to be there.
