You don’t know the guys in the current lineup of the band if you believe that. Our current lead player can seriously shred. You want to see for yourself? We’ll play it at the House of Blues in new Orleans on May 16th. We’ll be in the Foundation Room from 7:00pm-10:00pm. Cult of Personality will be in the setlist, which will be approximately 50/50 originals and covers. Cover charge is only like $5 or $10 for non-members, so whag do you have to lose?

My short lived band covered Another Girl Another Planet which was fun

When I play At home I like slow Hands because I’m bad at guitar and it’s easy to play and still sound cool.

"Not Fade Away" by Buddy Holly was always fun too.

It's very rapey. Girls loved it.

Back in my college days (early 80s) my band did a cover of the WHO's "I Can't Explain" that segued into "Clash City Rockers".

In the 90s the band I was in specialized in Smiths/Pixies/REM alt rock, but our guitarist was a big Rush fan, so we would occasionally throw in our cover of "Red Barchetta" late in our final set.

I recently reunited with my old college band and dusted off this classic from the old days: enjoy

Tough question.

I like to play Gel and Shine by Collective Soul.

The City of New Orleans by Arlo Guthrie is a fast paced romp.

Suite Judy Blue Eyes by CSN is probably my favorite to play.

Thanks, my friend. You'll get no argument from me on the hard as frick part

That's a pretty easy one as far as singing/playing bass at the same time, though. There were others that night that I didn't do either (or both) quite so well

I love Blackberry Smoke. If I play solo acoustic somewhere, I'll occasionally play "Lay It All On Me" which I think is a great song.

We did "Good One Coming On" a few times too.

Drummer here - some of my favorites:

- Everlong - Foo Fighters
- Would? - Alice in Chains
- Feelin Alright - Joe Cocker version
- Foreplay - Boston (we used this to warm up for second set (blues / rock band with a keyboard player so we did the organ too)
- Bullet With Butterfly Wings - Smashing Pumpkins
- Banditos - Refreshments (super duper fun for the whole band)
- Electric Worry Clutch (our lead played the harmonica too)
-Flirtin With Disaster - Molly Hatchet

Definitely a blast to play! Other Roger Clyne songs that are good: Americano and Don't Wanna Know.
