Someone shared a recipe on here for Mexican Street Corn deviled eggs. They looked interesting so I actually made them. Wife told me it was one of the best things I’ve ever cooked.

Not sure if that’s a testament to the eggs or a condemnation of my cooking, but there you have it.

I just finished making a dozen to bring for Easter dinner. I love them. I have my great grandmother ‘s deviled egg platter to carry them on.

I make the crabby deviled eggs from the TD cookbook. They are always a favorite.

Wife (no pics) made deviled eggs today. No clue what her recipe is, as she has never written it down.

Those were appetizers for the main course of roast lamb with chimicurri, sugar snap pea salad, and roast taters.

If unattended, I will eat the entire tray.

My wife loves these things. I can't get over the smell enough to even taste them. Do they taste like they smell?

Not in my house. They are made at every special occasion, and I grew up on my mom's. She doesn't do anything fancy at all with them.

Egg yolk, gulden's spicy mustard, miracle whip, salt, pepper put into the white. Something about the combination just works. I've had them at dozens of restaurants and never like them as much. It's probably just nostalgic as opposed to better.

When people say what would be at their last meal, my mom's deviled eggs are on that plate

I love deviled eggs. Last year, at the recommendation of a post on the Travel board, we went to the Purple Pig while in Chicago. Found fried deviled eggs on the menu. Delicious!

I guess the problem with deviled eggs is that your aunt or grandmother (that's usually who makes them) has to put her hands and fingers all over that slick, eggy surface to prepare them.

They're pretty frickin grody.

Yes they’ve become a vessel to experiment with lately. Meril’s in NO is best.
