Nah. That place is dumb.

See, the problem with social movements is that eventually when the cause you're fighting for is addressed...and you've based your entire identity and life around that cause...you now have to find new meaning. Some people find productive outlets for this. Others don't.

It's the others, which unfortunately encompasses the majority of fourth wave feminists, that become the problem.

There's a reason why numerous second and third wave feminists like Camille Paglia and Virginia Postrel have soundly rejected fourth wave feminism. It stopped being about equality.

You obviously don’t realize it would take me less then 20 seconds to find all your posts on this board in particular. The accusation is true.

I googled things that exist because I know they exist and have existed. It's conformation, not bias. You're just squirming.

I didn't say it represented the majority but it is prevalent, and has been for a long time.

But you didn't know that. Now, you're squirming and trying to pretend it's all made up.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe one or more of those could have been in reference to the same showing of the movie?

Two of them literally say just got out or a few hours ago on two different days. So at the very least you went to see a movie you think is horrible (featuring a lead you find disgusting) twice.

Just because a show features strong women does not make it chalk full of feminism. My god people. Some stories just have strong women in them. If it’s not a white male rolling around stomping everyone, 1/4 this board goes into meltdown mode. It’s bizarre.

I’m not a GOT fanboy by any stretch either, but this series is me vs you, not woman vs man.

So, which is it, 2 or 3 times? You can't seem to keep your story straight.

Well it’s odd that you say it’s only 75% full a week later when you were trying to criticize it as much as possible in the first post.

And you really went to see a movie you hate and constantly bitch about on this board, AT LEAST twice?

First you lie about how many times I saw the movie, now you are doubling down and saying that I hate it? I've never said I hated the movie. I think you're just trying to start trouble.

Fourth wave feminism.
Every wave of feminism has had some discussion of a matriarchy, with varyine levels of meaning, but a "women centered" and women controlled matriarchy has often been suggested.

Look, when I lived in DC, I went to or was in situation where a lot of organized protesting is done. And not just in DC. I've worked 5 party national conventions (3 republican and 2 democrat) and been on the scene for 2 "immigration" marches, as well as just walking to and from things and seeing people protesting in the streets.

Most are left wing, many have a heavy socialist lean and a few are unabashedly communist (immigration marches especially, held on May Day every year). I've heard "the world should be a socialist matriarchy" so many times, I've lost count.

It's definitely a thing. If one of the female Democrats becomes the frontrunner, I expect it to be a growing thing.

Well let’s see, you called it a terd, boring as frick, gave it a 4 rating, and compared Brie’s performance to cardboard. So either you’re trying (and failing) to be this board’s El Gaucho 2.0. Or you’re a grown man who gets triggered easily by a woman’s comments.

Well, yeah. Gather enough people together and even the most side-adjacent topics will get discussed. That alone doesn't mean anything.

Get enough Settlers of Catan players together, and someone's bound to bring up Monopoly. It doesn't mean that will become their game of choice.

Do any of you offended realize that the women in power got there because the men were bigger/more influential targets and got killed?
