I don’t think I’ve seen anyone in this thread (OP or agrees with OP) give particular examples of the show being over the top with feminism.

But some of the houses who had all of their lords killed off in battle are now headed up by the only surviving members of the ruling family who happen to be women, if you can't see that is just oozing with feminism I don't know what to tell you

Normally grammar nazis are annoying but I appreciate this one. Learn something new every day. Heard it a thousand times, but never expected it to be spelled differently.

Couple things here attending marches that take place in the capital city and hearing a few extremist discuss something does not equal a giant movement of wanting a matriarchy based society.

A woman running the country also doesn't equal a matriarchy based society it is just a woman getting elected to a job.

Wanting equal representation in government that more looks like the actual make up of the entire world does not equal wanting a matriarchy based society.

Likely scenario is you heard a group wanting equal representation and in your fear of losing the status quo you turned it into the extreme in your own head i.e. cognitive bias

quote:

A cognitive bias refers to the systematic pattern of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment, whereby inferences about other people and situations may be drawn in an illogical fashion. Individuals create their own "subjective social reality" from their perception of the input. An individual's construction of social reality, not the objective input, may dictate their behaviour in the social world. Thus, cognitive biases may sometimes lead to perceptual distortion, inaccurate judgment, illogical interpretation, or what is broadly called irrationality.

Did way more than that, over almost 20 years.

Didn't say it did. Not what I'm talking about at all.

You have no idea what my experience is, nor how many times, where I geographically was every time and from whom I've heard the same things repeatedly.

Move the goal posts all you like. You're wrong.

Or he heard what he heard, which I have also heard/experienced extensively, and instead you're injecting your own cognitive bias.

Just because you haven't experienced a thing, or worse, don't want the thing to exist because it goes against your preconceived notions, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

From your quote:

Indeed.

I disagree. You can actually start to see Daenerys showing similarities to her father (burning people, etc.). Cercei is fooling herself thinking she’ll wait out the storm and almost assuredly will get termed this season. Sansa’s character has simply grown up. The only character that makes me kind of cringe is Arya, but with the shite she’s been through I can kind of understand her callousness.

Yeah the only proof of this thing happening I've literally never heard of before now is a dude on a message board saying

His claim has as much validity as someone who has seen bigfoot

Maybe you need to get out of your bubble?

See: "I don't know anyone who voted for Nixon."

Or, for current times: "I don't know anyone who voted for Trump. There's no way he could have won!"

Maybe the earlier half of that 100 years, but from the 70s onward women have had a prominent roles in entertainment. Being lead roles and business owners in the industry.
