Would really like to see us sweep these guys. Hoping that beat down against Southen has LSU ready to go tonight.

freezing cold temps and winds. low ERA lefties starting for Mizzou.

And it gets worse - snow & then rain on Sunday. Would not surprise me to see them in a doubleheader tomorrow.

It is 53 degrees in COMO now and winds at 20mph. Low near 30 tonight.
100% chance of rain Sat night (5pm first pitch) and 90% Sunday (12 noon first pitch). Both days very cold.
Mizzou needs to play a DH Saturday morning at 10am and immediately after.

I’ll take 2 of 3 and be happy

Low scoring pitching duels with LOTS of strikeouts. I think 2/3 for sure, but a sweep wouldn’t be surprising. I hate our hitting philosophy (way too many strikeouts), but Missouri hitting is worse! And their defense is shitty too.

I hope they do, but our spring game is at 3 p.m. across the street, which may tie up parking. We'll see. We have a turf infield so light rain (which is expected Saturday evening) won't effect the playing surface too much.

More LSU Baseball Retweeted Tanner Theriot
The weirdest superstition on the team is probably @cade_beloso’s superstition of listening to KIDZ BOP before every game.

shite. I didn't realize that. I really hope it doesn't make getting around campus more difficult.

Too cold, hope we don’t get swept.

It shouldn't, especially if you park downtown or on campus in a garage. If you want to park at the baseball stadium, I would definitely get there EARLY because football shares parking with baseball.
Also, wear your heavy coat. Taylor Stadium is always 10 degrees colder than anywhere else in town. If the forecast is 40, it will feel like 30 with the wind giving you an ice enema.

Yeah we were planning on getting to COMO early, but not necessarily the stadium. We were gonna go to Logboat and Booches, maybe But Oak on the way in because I heard the beer at the taproom is better than what they distribute.
Will definitely dress warm.

Be prepared for a crazy line at Booches due to the spring game. Flat Branch has even better beer (IMO) and is already downtown if you are looking for a better option. Both Logboat and Bur Oak are good though (I favor Bur Oak myself).

We had to play one of our games against A&M last weekend at the same time as the spring game. Just have to do what you have to do.

I don't disagree, but I expect the admins to wait as long as possible before deciding to make that move.

Which way is the wind blowing? Out? In? Left? Right?

Won't really know until game time, it swirls at the stadium so it could be blowing straight in from left one inning and shift to blowing out to right the next. Typically when it is cold the wind blows straight in, making it virtually impossible to hit it out to left (and very difficult to right, though you can sneak it down the RF line if you hit a seed).

The wind should change as the front pushes through, so if its blowing in when its cold than maybe it will be blowing out tonight.
ETA: After looking at a map, home plate faces straight north. The winds are SW tonight so the wind should be blowing out to right and center. Once the front passes it will be hard to hit it out with a North wind.
