Couples with joint social media accounts

I see dozens of these in my feed. The insecurity of one who isnt comfotable with their spouse having their own social media account is off the charts

One cheated on the other.

She has his balls in her purse.

It's always when one of them cheated on the other in the past. Or in some cases they exist because one of them wrecked the other's home so they know they'll cheat again

Correct.
Any time I see this or one of the spouses is suddenly just doing constant posts about what an amazing spouse they have...cheating.

I have plenty of friends like this. It’s usually because the guy doesn’t give a shite about Facebook so you end up having to relay messages through her and what not.

I've only seen this a couple of times on FB. I've never seen it on other social media, such as LinkedIn (that would be a funny one) or Twitter. What are the other social media sites that this would be common?

I must not have trashy enough friends because the only time I see this is with old people (60+)

It's a telltale sign of how brittle most relationships are. People prefer looking good together instead of actual compatibility. Compatibility tests come later when the fuzzies die.

Holy shite, these are the same people that had joint bachelor/bachelorette parties.
If you're scared, you don't need to be on social media. If friends don't give enough of a shite about your kids to subscribe to a Flickr or Apple album, then do you really care about them getting updates on the fro yo trip you had yesterday?

It's weird for sure, but I know a guy that just doesn't use social media and never will, so his wife made her instagram account "Sarah and Bob Smith" (not their real names) to share photos of their kids and stuff.

Is there something wrong with her just putting her own name and not his? What's the difference?

I only have TD. My gf wouldn't touch my TD account with a 10ft pole

It isnt really a joint account
The dude really has nothing to do with it in most cases I reckon

It’s super weird. I assume either cheating or the guy doesn’t have a FB but the wife wants to make sure his presence is well known. Which is super insecure.
My husband doesn’t have a Facebook account, but will log into mine if he wants to see something from one of our friends. I’m not adding his name on there.

Idk man, it wasn't me.
The dude still has a flip phone and they're kind of redneck.

I don't understand why people spend so much time on "social media" sites. Maybe the dudes are the same and their wives just add them to their own account as a way of getting them on the site.
