My ESPN subscription got screwed up. Can anyone give me a current draft projection from a reputable source?

nbadraft.net

This is the most popular of the draft sites I think.

Not even close. That one stinks.

Tankathon and Draftsite are both far better than NBA Draft dot net

Don't waste your time looking at mock drafts. Anywhere.

Study the prospects. The order is not known yet and most of those sites don't really care about team need.

Just study the prospects.

Seems like this draft has a bunch of talented 6’8-6’10 scrappy PF’s in the late lottery area. Kinda makes Randle expendable. At least they will play defense at a much lower cost off the bench. I would love to grab one of them assuming AD is traded for an additional 1st round pick.

Those guys wouldn't impact the game this year, therefore shouldn't effect Randle decision.

If we resign Randle, it should be to a one or two year deal that allows you to move him down the line. Not a four year deal where he is a foundation piece.

You grab BPA at any/every pick. With no thought of position and who you have at that position currently. Because in all likelihood, these guys won't be good for 2-3 years any way and nobody on this current roster will still be here in 3 years, with the exception of maybe Jrue

I’m all for BPA all every pick because this team is in need of talent at every position. I think the position with the most talent in this draft is 4 spot. I think we should take advantage of that. I’m also assuming AD is traded for a draft pick or two. If top 3 then Zion, Morant, or Garland than a big (which will most likely be BPA) with our lottery pick. If not a top 3 pick than straight BPA at every point.

I don't think positions exist any more. I think skill sets do. Not all "4's" are the same. Some are rim runners and garbage men some are mid range guys who can also dish out of the high post, some are stretch guys. Some can guard up to the 5 position, while others can guard down or are very comfortable in space on D.

It should be about grabbing the skill sets you need for your system and that compliment your best players and/or long term pieces.

So, you wouldn't take Zion and Bruno Fernando. But Zion and Bol Bol could make some sense. Skill sets, not "positions"

Well, I consider De'Andre Hunter, Sekou Doumbouya, Brandon Clarke, P.J. Washington, Rui Hachimura, Naz Reid, and Jaxson Hayes as “modern 4” or small ball 5’s players that will be available in the middle of the first round. They profile as athletic bigs who can bring energy, some offense, and defense (well most of them) off the bench. Even if somehow we can get Zion, it’s always good to have these types of players off your bench for match up purposes.

RJ Barret been screwing up this whole time in March madness. I knew he was going to choke at the free throw line. SMH. It was on him to foul and he missed the guy to make Michgan state win as well.

When your team is constructed with no shooters it is not easy to operate.
RJ will be fine shooting-wise.
Liked him as a facilitator.

Still top3 IMO.

One thing I find important in March Madness is to kind of separate these guys from their teams performance. RJ and Duke had some struggles in the Tournament for sure, but a lot of that was against teams throwing weird defenses at them, and coach K not really having any adjustments for it.

Like when in the NBA will RJ ever see a team run a box and 1 or triangle and 2 with the defense literally not guarding anyone other than he and Zion? When will he ever have to face a 2-3 zone? The entire duke offense was RJ and Zion trying to go 1 on 1, then running into a double team and trying to pass out of it. I have to believe that just about every NBA coach could get him into better situations and run some type of offense. This was not Coach K's best moment to say the least.

When you take away his left you pretty much contain him. He also cracks under pressure and has questionable IQ

Odds of getting someone as good as Randle at 9 is pretty slim. Its hit or miss just to get a starter much less a 20ppg guy.

#9 has had some pretty decent runs:

09- Demar Derozan
10- Gordon Hayward
11 - Kemba Walker
12 - Andre Drummond

99 - Shawn Marion
98 - Dirk
97 - TMac

Well then teach him to go right. There isn't ever an NBA prospect who comes out fully developed. You look for the things that you can't teach, and then you try to develop the weaknesses. You can't teach 6'7" with smooth ball handling and elite athleticism. You can teach a guy to score going to his right. That's why he'll be a top 3 pick. Same reason Cam Reddish is a top 10 prospect even though he shot 35% from the floor and turned it over almost twice as often as he assisted.

Tankathon.

Hit the randomizer.

That's reality.

They show percentages out to 4th pick.

I'm cool with #2.
Rather have morant.

I'm frustrated by "stars" like zion who can't make ft's.
Hack a Zion.

Well he shot 64% at the line, translates to 1.28 points per possession. Hack away lol.
