Just saw one in Walgreens for the first time. Yikes. $55 for a custom shoe insert. Is this a scam for idiots? Or does it magically make your shoe like sinking your foot into Kate Upton's cleavage?

I need to know

These are popular with the children.

Along with blood pressure machines.

I’m not stepping on that thing after everybody else’s nasty feet have been on it.

Im sure the inserts are cheap as hell to make, but that set up for every pharmacy is what drives the cost.

It’s not that custom. You get to pick between 4 different styles

If you have serious issues with lower back pain or angle pain then you should absolutely. I got them after a motorcycle accident after my therapist recommended them. World of difference.

Get real shoe inserts and not these things. Your shoe inserts shouldn't be 'squishy' or 'pillowy.'

You need support, something with structure. The cushion should gives you support so your feet aren't moving in the shoe as well.

Fleet Feet in Baton Rouge was great for finding the right inserts, had a lot of different ones to try on. I'm sure any running store near you has the same option. For me, Powerstep Pinnacle were the solution, took about 4 different tries to get the perfect model.

Dr Scholls is gimmicky and cheap, even at $55.

I tried this when they first came out years ago to put in my work boots. I wasn’t impressed and ended up buying new boots. I no longer buy inserts anymore.

Go to New Balance store in Town Center. Their inserts are amazing. You don’t have to buy the shoes, you can buy just inserts
