Albon didn't even try to get out of Q2 because he was taking an engine penalty and wanted to choose what tires to start on.

I didnt see qual but what happened with Verstappen's Honda? He claims it ain't gonna be a problem come race time. Red bull switched power units, huh?

He was going to be starting last no matter what, so they didn't put any time on the engine.
Kind of shows how F1 penalty rules hurt rather than help the sport a lot of times.

They put a new engine in this week for development purposes. The plan is to compete next year, so they're willing to spend the money on a 4th gen PU this year.
They said after that his engine went into anti-stall because of wheel spin.
The TV guys were speculating that they were trying to introduce a 5th engine without having to take another penalty. But I think that's been ruled out.

He was going to be at the back anyway. He could have ran a new engine without being worse off.
