But it’s shocking to me that a libertarian could possibly prefer Obama, who you know without a doubt viewed the Constitution as an obstacle, a hindrance, and nothing more than a piece of paper to be usurped, ignored, dismissed, and wantonly violated in furtherance of his agenda.
McCain demonstrated he was just as willing to throw away his honorable role in conducting our system of government at the expense of his own voters. The idea that a Senator should vote --not for his constitutency-- but for their personal vendettas is truly despicable, and anti-American.

I'll expect similar responses from you when Bernie/AOC/Beto use similar executive powers to usher in the Green New Deal.

Not comparable. There is no explicit executive authority over "green". Good grief.

I despised Obama as I despised McCain. They're equally unworthy of my vote, for particularly different reasons. For a million dollars from Saudi Arabia, John McCain would send some poor saps in the military who just wanted to pay for college to fight and die in some never-ending war in Shitholestan.

Screw the Constitution, right libertarian? I mean hell, I would be fine if future presidents take those rights and limits to the federal government and pisses on them on national tv to show what he thinks of them, as long as he doesn’t use the military, right?

Casting a shitty, petty vote is hardly in the realm of using the IRS to violate the free speech rights of tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of Americans, so bad comparison is bad.

You're right. A lot more people voted for McCain.

Consider McCain's participation in the Steele dossier and ask yourself if he would have hesitated to use the IRS nefariously.

But there isn’t a thing in the Constitution that says he must vote the way his constituents wish, or even a mandate to vote the way he promised to in his campaign. What Obama did with the IRS was a violation of both the law, and the Constitution.

I hated McCain with a purple passion, but I can’t recall him ever wiping his arse with the Constitution.

I suppose it's up to you to decide is selling out your voters is withing the goals of the Constitution or not.

No, it’s not up to me. It’s either in the Constitution, or it isn’t. Since it isn’t, and especially since the very act is kind of what shitty politicians are infamous for, in no reality does it rise to the level of denying people constitutionally guaranteed rights.

Specifically?

Let’s hear it then.

they all used it more than Trump has for things not as bad as what's happening now.
Perhaps you could provide an actual example of this to illustrate your point.

And if it is EVER the other way - Dem President doing something like this - exactly 0 Dems will cross the line on principles.

They don't even know what those are.

Dear Republicans:

They're never going to like you. Give it up. Do your job. Build the wall.

Using your definition, how would you describe the situation of 20 people barging into your home and life and changing your daily activities?

That isn't my definition, silly man. That is from the dictionary. You're analogy is just stupid because that's not what we're talking about. People coming to the United States is completely different than someone barging into my home and you know that. It's sad that you have to try that hard to be that disingenuous to try to make your point work

Link me to where the statute provides for emergency action on gun control, climate change, universal healthcare and so on?

The NEA does provide for emergency action on immigration, drugs and border security and he's acting pursuant to the 2006 law authorizing infrastructure for border security that's why Trump's order is lawful.

What other asinine hypothetical to want to backhandedly accuse McCain of?

You're a complete jackass.

If Rand is a RINO, it’s because he gives a damn about liberty and the constitution.

It amazes me how some people complain about the Dems for marching in lockstep but criticize the Republicans that don’t do the same.

Exactly. The Paul's are the two most consistent politicians of the last century. God bless steadfast conservatives
