BR’s The Advocate is reporting that Will Wade might still coach LSU in the tournament. Nothing appears certain except the fact that the coaches of Duke, Kentucky, and Kansas need to have their arses kicked by Will Wade and LSU in the NCAA tournament. Would then probably have to commit members of the fake outraged media to a psycho ward.

I would love this as much as the next guy but I just ask.

What changes between now and then...?

If Wade is coaching in the SEC tournament, obviously he will also be coaching in the NCAA tournament.

Joe lifting the suspension.

Lol well obviously but why would he do that? What changes in the story to change his mind?

They suspended him as a PR move, so reinstating him without being innocent would be a bad PR move.

My dad was asking me yesterday what the heck is going on with the suspension, because he hadn't really been following the back story before everything broke yesterday. So I gave him a quick rundown, and I said I don't think he'll be suspended beyond the SEC Tournament.

The reason being that there was no real reason to suspend him without any more evidence. It was clearly a not so well thought out PR move, and after letting him sit a couple of games, they'd probably feel like they've done enough.

IF anything more comes out, this whole season will be wiped from the records. If not, then nothing is gained by suspending Wade or Smart.

Wade meets with Alleva and explains his action. Pretty simple actually.

The fact that he miscalculated the reaction to all of this.

Perhaps he remembered who his constituents are?

Suspending him was the most amateurish PR move they could have possibly made.

They are feeling the pressure.

I’m starting to wonder if this is all a big cover right now. Just trying to please the media for a short amount of time. The bottom line is, LSU, Wade, Smart, will not be in any trouble from the NCAA or anyone.

Honestly, I don't think anyone knows what the hell will happen. Everyone is writing about it trying to cash in on all the traffic their stories will get because of the interest there is in this story.

He was suspended for refusing to meet with the AD and school president. Wade needs to explain his side of the story to his bosses, before anything else happens.

They’re not lifting the suspension unless Wade talks to them. If they’re suspending him now, then why in the hell would they lift it later? Only a positive change in the facts could change their mind and this thing is likely to get worse than get better.

The chicken-shite administration at LSU caved to a couple of screaming yentas would surely weren’t calling for Huckleberry Hound at North Carolina to quit or be fired during their academic scandal. LSU should have waited til after the season. This whole season will get tarnished anyway so why not go as far and win as much as you can now and worry about the punishment later?

The NCAA won’t go easy just because LSU suspended Wade. We’re not North Carolina in basketball so we will get the Ole Miss treatment. So why not see it out now and deal with the consequences later? Because Alleva, Alexander and the BOS are a bunch of gutless dipshits.

Nothing is gained either way. Similarly, no one is doubting USC’s 2004 success on the field. Just win

This point has been brought up and addressed several times. His lawyers are the one's who intervened. It's been mentioned by someone on here that having a meeting about this would waive his attorney client privilege, and everyone in the room could then be subpoenaed. I personally also believe that they don't trust that LSU isn't going to throw Wade under the bus to save their own butts.

I do not believe, at this time, that that LSU's stated reason for suspending him is the actual reason. I think this was a PR move all the way, and the "he didn't show up to the meeting" excuse is just a cop out.
