A competent AD would know what's happening in his programs, so I don't think it matters regardless. Alleva should have stood by Wade, but he did the exact opposite.

Even if he did. Theres absolutely no reason to suspend him. shite you might as well fire him if youre going to be that stupid because he wont agree to stay on after this.

I definitely think that’s the situation (or at least that Will Wade is gladly taking a brief suspension so shite can calm down) and like 97% of people here are being as reactionary as they claim Joe Alleva to be.

Does it matter? If we really did pay players, our program won’t be relevant again for a very long time, and this season’s results will be erased anyway. At least give the team and the fans the memories of the full season. The NCAA wouldn’t have shut us down until after the season

100% and the original plan of waiting this out in hopes the criminal defendants would cop a plea is no longer a financially wise decision to LSU or to the SEC because they are going to trial. The SEC didn't want the entire NCAA Tourney to be focused on Will Wade and nothing else nor did LSU.

we are on the same page. Really not a scenario where this makes a lot of sense based on current knowledge.
