Have you ever tried to get a battery powered pump or other actuated type pump to fill your DEF? Or do you just fill from the container and spray water on the area if you spill? Just got my new C2500 and was thinking about this.

My 03 didn't have that stuff so I didn't have to worry about it then.

The 2.5 gallon Blu def comes with a long expandable spout. I've never spilled any using it. the 1 gallon bottle does not come with same spout and is easier to spill.

My 2016 F250 uses 4 gallons every 7.5k miles. I dump the first one and start to feather the second jug when it gets below halfway full. Spill some and just wash it off.

I change my oil and rotoate tires every 5k. While it’s there I have them top off my DPF.

If by chance I will need DPF before the. I usually fill up at the pump.

That stuff dries to a white substance not sure how long a battery operated pump will last. Check out Terapump.net, part number #TEP20000 or # TRAF01. I use this pump to fill diesel and gas.

That stuff is 32.5% Urea, it will make whatever it hits grow.

ETA-The stuff starts salting out when the concentration goes up. If you do get a pump, make sure you blow any remaining product out the line or you may chew your pump up.

Yeah that was my reasoning for posting. If anyone HAD done it...I wanted to know what brand of pump they used since I know the stuff is corrosive.

I buy it at Sam’s and the Peak 2.5 has the long spout and also has a good vent so it pours fast.

If you are going to pump 32% Urea, make sure you flush the pump with water when you are finish.Do not use a pump with any copper or brass fittings. Urea attacks these metals. If you get the solution on your vehicle, just wash it off.

I get the 2.5 gallon Walmart DEF in the blue jug. It’s $7.99 and the same thing as the name brand. I’ve never had an issue with spillage on the body.

A truck stop is what I do. If you don't want to do that get the blu square box as it as a long nozzle.
