Friday - Hess
Saturday - Marceaux
Sunday - Jaden Hill (not Walker)
Tuesday - Henry
Wednesday - Walker - Walker to pitch out of bullpen Friday night

Rotation will stay the same next weekend as well. Look for Walker to come back into the weekend rotation for the Texas series.

LSU baseball’s starting lineup tomorrow:

1. Smith
2. Broussard
3. Duplantis
4. Cabrera
5. Watson
6. Garza
7. Bianco
8. Mathis
9. Hughes

Not what I thought, but said Walker wasn’t extended enough in preseason.

Beloso will start Saturday in place of Bianco.

Get some other guys some good live action early on. Works for me. Excited to see what Hill can do

I expected this lineup at the top. I know people want Duplantis at lead off and he may end up there but he is a proven run producer and going into a season you want your known guys in position you know they will succeed.

CPM has also shown in the past that he likes a lefty with some pop at lead off.

Does that mean we likely see Walker midweek?

What a luxury to have those three guys in the middle of the order.

That was going to be my question, I guess 1st base is still very much up for grabs

Wow. I have some comments on this...

First, Walker had plenty of time to be extended. Kid is WAY more than 12 months removed from surgery. I think we are coming up on 20 months actually. There's been plenty of time to start a game and go 4-5 innings. I smell bullshite in that excuse. Either they think Hill is better and are giving him 2 weeks to try and steal that roll, or Walker at a major setback no one knows about.

What a crock of shite. We all finally thought we'd get Dup in the leadoff, but no. We end up with Smith there but Broussard in the 2? Are we just going to bunt every time Smith gets on base? Is that the thought? And then we were told Garza to 4. Maybe PM wants some more fastballs for Watson. But at what expense? None for Garza?

If Hill can pitch how he pitched in the outings I saw him the past few weeks, he isn't giving up that spot.

I'd like to see Jaden Hill pitch the Tuesday night games against Southeastern & South Alabama. That is actually our hardest night of the week in the first 2 weeks compared to ULM/Bryant, Army/Bryant, Air Force/Bryant, & @Northwestern State/Southern.

Saul Garza hit a ball off the scoreboard during batting practice today, leaving a black rectangle on the screen.

"Did he break the board again?" Paul Mainieri asked.
