Did not have to wait more than 5 mins and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Agreed, a long, long wait may have changed my opinion.

No I'm not. It was just like the same shitty quality that Churches Chicken use for their 'chicken' strips.
Dude, when you go to Popeyes, you get real chicken on a bone, not chicken strips.

I sort of agree with you there. Don't get me wrong, Ruth's Chris is delicious but it's not what it's all cracked up to be.
I don't really get this.
It's considered a solid/reliable but not remarkable prime steakhouse. And it's every bit of that.

Michael Jordans in Chicago..
I’m surprised to find someone that rated it highly in the first place.
It’s perfectly fine for a touristy steakhouse, but that’s all it is.

Food issues was so much kitchen turnover. Hard to get a menu rhythm when you change chefs every 6-9 months

Ruth’s Chris. So many better options out there and some at a much better price point as well.

Better options in Baton Rouge? For steak? Do tell.

I wasn’t aware this thread was limited to BR. Yes, in BR there probably aren’t any better options.

At this rate, every popular restaurant in South Louisiana will be deemed overrated by the OT.

La Fonda's; I have no idea how that is classified as Mexican cuisine. Absolute garbage yet it stays packed. Judice Inn; over spiced hockey pucks served without fries
You’re not from Lafayette.
A. It’s La Fonda (no “s”). We eat steaks, rabbit, fried chicken, margaritas. Only the ignorant order “Mexican food” at La Fonda.
B. Judice inn is a learned taste, but once you have it, nothing else can scratch that itch.

Some of you guys don't seem to understand what overrated means.
If something is perceived to be mediocre and is, in fact, mediocre, that means it is correctly rated, not overrated.
