The thing about those teams is that their second, third and forth teams are very close to their first team and there is a huge dropoff between our first and second team. I would say that each of these teams forth team would be better than our second team

Bob Petit is consistently rated a top 50 NBA player ever. In fact 3 LSU players, Pete Bob, and Shaq, all are rated top 50.

good luck beating that. Duke, UNC, UK, and UCLA would be the only schools i can think of with a shot.

Agreed.

But only with HC: Will Wade.

LSU All Century Team

Here’s a list of 16 players who educated people feel are better. And that list doesn’t include Simmons, Waters, Reid, Livingston, Ronnie Henderson, The Porn Star, Tyrus Thomas... just to name a few off the top of my head that were better than Tas.

This is and will always be a completely subjective list, with the exception of the obvious. And that would be the three NBA HOFer's who played at LSU.
Shaq
Bob Pettit
Pete Maravich
Any list of LSU basketball all-time teams should have these 3 in their starting 5, and that isn't arbitrary, they were 3 of the best 100 players in the history of basketball.
All other spots are arbitrary and subjective.

So you mean to tell me that the street I used to get drunk at all the time was named after a great LSU basketball player? Next you're going to tell me that Alvin Dark played football and baseball. But seriously, who was Jennifer Jean?

TBH I think a 3 guard lineup of Waters, Pistol Pete, and Chris Jackson with Shaq and Petit would be filthy. Pete and CJ each on a wing, Shaq down low, and Waters penetrating to score or dish to one of those others. Unstoppable.

Rudy Macklin was the rock upon which the fantastic climb to the top was built. All playres listed were really good or great, but much of the good LSU history in the past 40 years does not occur if Dale had not convinced Rudy to come down to LSU and be the face of the program.
