Going to buy my 2 year old a lifetime hunting/fishing license

In the state of Tennessee a lifetime hunting/fishing license is $200. When he hits 3 (december) it goes to $700. Can I get this at Wal Mart? And what documentation will I need? I'm guessing his birth certificate?

I doubt it.
I just did one for my 4 year old son in LA.
I had to send in his original birth certificate, a copy of my and my wifes drivers license, and a completed application I downloaded from the LDWF website.
Got confirmation back in about a week. He just needs to take Hunters Safety when he is old enough, but he is good to go.

Yep, my grandparents bought mine as a Christmas gift. It has long since paid for itself.

it's nice when states offer a discount. Texas?
$1000 lifetime period, don't care how old you are. They obviously know the value of their "product".
However, if we ever move back to Louisiana, this will pay itself off rather quickly.

Not sure about TN, but in Louisiana you need to go to LDWF HQ.

I bought a MS lifetime liscense for my son when he was little. Kids move away now. It can pay for itself many times over.

Yes they will definitely pay for themselves in short order if you move away. My whole family has LA lifetime licenses and now that we have moved to MS I will buy them all lifetime here as well. Just have to be a resident for 18 months.

Follow the link on twra website and submit all paperwork. Did it for my son when he was 2. About to buy one for my 2 year old daughter. Well worth it even if they stay instate, will pay for itself in 2 hunting seasons.

I got mine when I was 16 I never had to go anywhere just did it by mail.
Funny story, I ask for it for Christmas it was 500 dollars at the time my dad gave me 500 and said do what u want to with it.. I contemplated spending it on speakers for my 90 ford bronco but ended up buying the license.. he still says that was the most responsible thing I did as a teenager and I would have to agree
