Baseball is truly the American game.

God likes baseball better - and so should you

quote:

Of course, football is now the biggest game in America, not because it’s better, but because as our collective attention span, hunger for violence, and constant need for over-stimulation has increased, our ability to appreciate beauty has declined.

99 reasons baseball is better than football

quote:

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good and that could be again.

quote:

“Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again. That’s the way life is, with a new game every day, and that’s the way baseball is.” – Bob Feller

quote:

“Baseball is like church. Many attend few understand.” – Leo Durocher

quote:

“You have to have a lot of little boy in you to play baseball for a living.” – Roy Campanella

quote:

“People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.” – Rogers Hornsby

quote:

“Little League baseball is a very good thing because it keeps the parents off the streets.” – Yogi Berra

quote:

“In baseball, you can’t kill the clock. You’ve got to give the other man his chance. That’s why this is the greatest game.” – Earl Weaver

quote:

“I chose baseball because to me baseball is the best game of all.” – Dave Winfield

Nothing baseball fans love more than some old rhapsodizing about baseball.

"My erections have come less frequently over the years, but one thing that's never gone away is my hard on for baseball. First, second, third, and home plate, each an oasis of safety in an increasingly confusing world. I remember one game on a lazy Sunday afternoon at the Polo Grounds. Pop was a nickel, and Willie Mays hit a fly ball so high, I swear it touched the face of God. Also, my dad is dead."

If you have 1/2 an ounce of brain, most will agree. If you have internet not even you can truly believe this until September. Same reason NFL does not matter until Super Bowl. Nobody cares and there are too many flukes that do not know how to win when it counts to get there.

It should be a great season. Go Yankees!

Guys throwing a ball and swinging a bat is beauty? I like going to the ball park, but this is rivaling A&M for the gay.

As someone who gets to catch games at Fenway throughout the season and watch the returning World Champions, I still downvoted.

I think a lot of people are turned off by the intellectual high ground that baseball fans take. They are basically the hipsters of sports. Face it, just because baseball is boring as frick does not make you any more intelligent.

The thing I hate most about baseball is how douchey the average baseball player is, along with the living through my sons accomplishment mindset there brain dead alcoholic fathers display.
