He now does all acoustic sets. I saw him at Beau Rivage last year he was getting on people there too.

Correct .. kind of a storyteller type format. Where it gets aggravating is when people start yelling cover songs for him to play. There’s only so much of someone yelling “Freebird” a guy could take. If you want cover songs go down to the corner bar.

Would have been so much more funny if he would have said "I'm American, I don't speak Mexican"

I think he could have said what he said with no issues anywhere but Pharr, TX on the Mexico border.. wrong place

But I side with Aaron... very tolerant guy. It must have been a rowdy crowd

I saw him last year, that show was not all acoustic. Perhaps it depends on the venue.

How about if somebody asked a German artist to "sing something in English".

How about if somebody asked a Mexican singer to "sing something in English" and they responded "I'm Mexican, I don't speak English"?

fricking outrage puthies.

I've never seen Lewis in an acoustic setting, but this trend toward smaller acoustic "concerts" is a lot of fun.

I attended a "dinner and acoustic set" with Charlie Robison a year or two ago, and it was one of my favorite concerts ever.

He did one set of songs that he had planned, took a break, and came back to let the guests make requests.

I asked him to play Indianola, and he said that he had not performed it in years. Whether it was time or drink, he actually skipped a stanza of the song, but I loved it anyway. It was fun asking him what made him think to write a song about an immortal, 19th century German immigrant to Texas.

Just watched the video... I see nothing wrong at all. He was very tolerant. He was at the last song of the night. Enough was enough. He stayed calm the entire time.

Spanish speakers that refuse to learn English, while living in America.. are unamerican.

If I went to live in that shithole known as Mexico, I'd learn Spanish asap. How the hell would I be able to assimilate, if I don't know the native language?

It appears the Lewis has a low tolerance for yappers in the audience that won't shut up. We've all sat next to these folks at concerts in the past. Sucks for those that were being quiet and paid good money to see him perform.

Lewis is my 2nd favorite artist next to Stapleton. He puts on a hell of a show (when the crowd doesn't interrupt him) for those that haven't seen him live.

He used to be the front man for Staind and has also done some vocals for Linkin Park. The range of his voice is insane.

Dude is as woke and "American" as they come.

All of that is spot on except his range. I mean he can sing diff types of musics and sound awesome but he has a limited note range... which doesn't matter bc he has such a good voice. Glad to see he is the real deal... even at the expense of a few ticket sales.

If i saw him walk off over a political tirade I would almost be glad. Good for that guy! Few legitimate stars are so ballsy.

*edit*

he ain't got shite on Stapleton, except politics.

Sorry but pretending to like Staind because Aaron Lewis is “MAGA” is where I draw the line. They were empirically a terrible band.

You don’t have to pretend to like Staind. Go listen to some of his new shite. He’s an incredible musician and vocalist
