Israel is a nation specifically made as a haven for Jewish people. Why the frick wouldn’t the state religion be Jewish. The very nation itself is an ethnic-religious sovereign state.

I'm not a huge fan of the US giving tons of aid to Israel.
That said, they allow other religions to freely practice. It's well known.
To compare them to Iran is categorically an insane concept.

Fun fact: there was a Judeo-fascist group in what was then Palestine that was very, very buddy buddy with the Reich. Even an Israeli PM or two was part of them.
