BTW, I am disgusted by the few LSU fans who have come here to almost giggle at the Saints situation being blind or not caring that many of us are hardcore fans of both.
Yes, I am surprised at the vocal segment of the LSU Tiger fanbase that dislikes the Saints and want them to go back to being an object of national ridicule. This phenomenon has negatively affected my fandom for everything LSU, that is for sure.

Hilarious coming from someone who wastes their spare time trying to troll people on message boards

I didn’t expect responses that would normally come from an XBOX chat lobby, that’s for sure

So you’re pointing out that a passionate fanbase is still upset about getting robbed of a super bowl appearance. Just brilliant.

I'm tired of half drunk morons calling in and making their case for why the flag should have been thrown over a week later.
And there is a very simple remedy for this: change the fricking channel. The world doesn’t revolve around you.

I work in a nursing home and the residents are STILL talking about and fired up about it.

You're right. I shouldn't tell grown men to not act like petulant children because a football game didn't go the way they wanted.
Seeker and everyone else are absolutely correct. You are a motherfricking douche. If it bothers you that nearly everyone is in agreement that we are still mad, who the frick are you to be the jerk who tells everyone else stop. How about you need to stop being an irritating holier than thou contrarian.

Trust me, I was there 1/9/12 walking out of the Superdome after the 21-0 loss the Alabama. I was only 21, and I was immature. I told myself I wouldn't let a football game ever impact my mood after 24 hours after that.
Cliffs: Brian Downing made Venereal Tiger's arse quit.

Because my 83 year old mother is the biggest Saints fan alive. It would have been wonderful to watch the Saints in another Super Bowl with her. The refs and NFL took that away.

It’s more than just the Saints. This has changed the overall way I look at the game.
Every football fan watching in real time, knew that was PI and helmet to helmet. After the play, I immediately thought, game over...we’re going to the Super Bowl!
If we all knew it, how did the best of the best officials, that are trained to spot penalties, not see it? These officials have been through every level of competition and are trained to see penalties that the average person wouldn’t. It’s statistically impossible for an official, at this level, to miss a call like that.
Unless they make PI challengeable, I’m out. For me, the only logical reason they won’t make it challengeable is to still maintain control of a game.

Let’s drop the ego down a notch.
After a blatant no-call that costs your team a Super Bowl berth, it’s a little bit more difficult to just “get over it.” Remember, this is only the third time in our 52-year history where we have made it this far. And the fact that it was literally stolen from us will tend to get quite a few people angry.
Also, people pay a lot of money to attend these games. I paid a good price for my wife and I to be at that game last week. All I would want as a ROI, outside of a win, would be a fairly officiated football game that supports the integrity that the NFL loves to preach. For the past decade, the NFL has been pushing the agenda of player safety. They’ve been pushing the agenda of how to make contact with players. They’ve even changed the rules on how you should tackle properly. So with all of these changes, how one Earth does one blatantly miss an obvious Pass Interference AND helmet to helmet on the same play with your season and pending Super Bowl berth riding in the balance? That missed call not only cost the team and its loyal fan base a Super Bowl berth, it also cost this entire region millions of dollars of revenue whether people would’ve traveled down here for the game, whether people would’ve bought merchandise, etc.. It goes beyond a simple missed call.
You can’t preach the “integrity” of the game, and then miss a call like that with so much hanging in the balance. And let’s not forget the PR nightmare the NFL has created for itself after the fact. Their response on the matter has been a joke. I have vendors from other states who’ve mentioned the whole debacle to me since last weekend. It’s not just us.

Wish I could upvote this 1,000 times. There are people that are legit letting this ruin their lives. Move on. It’s over. I get the saints got fricked and I hate it for them but Jesus Christ enough is enough. In my 28 years of living ive never been more over talking about a subject. At work, in the gym, at the bar. For the love of God it’s time to get the frick over it-
I can’t listen to local sports radio because they still insist on talking about it, even when they’re interviewing somebody who dosent even cover football. I don’t understand what more the fans expect the nfl to do? You can’t honestly and realistically think they’d play it over or send the saints to the super bowl can you? They admitted they fricked up and that’s it.
I’ve always been somebody that has hated the “oh you needa stop taking football so seriously, how can you let something you can’t conrol dictate your happiness, yada yada”crowd, but in this case it’s completely true. We’re now one of this most hated fan bases in the NFL because of the refusal to get over this and it’s just getting embarrassing. this coming from a die hard saints/lsu/football fan.
