quote:

Officials in Minnesota have appointed anti-vaccine advocates to a newly formed state council on autism, sparking controversy in the wake of a record measles outbreak in the state.

State senator Jim Abeler formed the MN Autism Council last fall to address issues surrounding autism, including “treatment, educational options, employment opportunities, independent living, and more.” While about one in 59 children in the US are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, the rate in Minnesota is one in 42.

quote:

At least two of the council’s more than 30 members are skeptical of vaccine safety and oppose compulsory immunizations. One of those skeptical members, Wayne Rohde, was one of three initial people Abeler appointed to the council. Rohde was charged with helping to shape the council and with picking other members.

quote:

Rohde is a cofounder of the Vaccine Safety Council of Minnesota, which promotes the notion that vaccines are harmful despite extensive scientific data indicating that they're safe. He is also as an executive for Health Choice, which advocates that chronic health conditions in children are caused by “unhealthy choices” including “side effects of vaccine choices.”

Just came back from attending an Autism conference in California...which is awesome since it's home base for these anti-vaxer morons. Let me just tell you how fun it was after every time some local found out why I was there.... "so messed up that all this is caused by vaccines huh??"

We should confine all the anti-vaxers to an island somewhere and get them out of the general population.

Minnesota is a state full of retards.

The fact they voted in a Muslim chick, who wishes death to Israel, married her brother so he could gain citizenship, and is an utter anti-semite and bigot is just the beginning of their stupidity.

Also voted Keith Ellison, who beat his ex girlfriend, and then got the #metoo people to smear her. And they still voted for him. And he's also an anti Semite and bigot.

Very few "Anti-vaxxers", as they are called, are against vaccines. Most (including me) research and determine WHICH vaccines are effective, necessary and safe. (our pediatrician agrees). I don't watch CNN and see a "new" foot fungus vaccine being advertised and immediately load up the kids to the clinic. If you allow your kids to be vaccinated with every vaccine thats offered, you are in the same category as the people who think ALL vaccines are bad.

The science of vaccination is sound, but not necessary in every instance. And the "herd immunity" argument is bullshite.

I've read through a majority of these and it's pretty interesting to see how different these studies are from what we are told. Its sad when you actually site something from a peer reviewed website to a friend or just some random, who is 100% gung-ho for Vaccines, and they shrug it off like it isn't a legit study. That's how I know these 150 studies are kryptonite for the pro vaxxer.

I can't even read threads like this. The idiocy from the tinfoil hat wearing crew is at such a level that my logical brain can't even comprehend it.

(7 pages minimum if one of those idiots drops in)

I've also witnessed my sister's baby die one day after receiving her two month shots. The baby's legs began to swell, then it spread to her whole body. 24 hours later she was dead. Come on smart ones and tell me what killed her?

Here we go. Also, bucknut, when you're referencing something as "evidence" (I just used air quotes), the word you're looking for is cite, not site.

Thimerosal is toxic!!!! THIMEROSAL IS TOXIC!!!!

quote:

Thimerosal was taken out of childhood vaccines in the United States in 2001.
Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccines do not and never did contain thimerosal. Varicella (chickenpox), inactivated polio (IPV), and pneumococcal conjugate vaccines have also never contained thimerosal.
Influenza (flu) vaccines are currently available in both thimerosal-containing (for multi-dose vaccine vials) and thimerosal-free versions.

For a complete list of vaccines and their thimerosal content level, see the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Thimerosal in VaccinesExternal page. This chart Cdc-pdf[PDF – 182 KB] shows vaccine ingredients sorted by vaccine.

Oh, never mind.

You are literally freaking out about your child getting struck by lightning.

>Vitamin A deficiency compromises the immune systems of approximately 40 percent of the developing world’s children under age five, leading to the deaths of approximately 1 million young children each year.
>many nutrition programs are found to be not only effective, but also efficient
>eliminating Vitamin A deficiency alone will save 16 percent of the global burden of disease in children.
Nutrition, sanitization and clean water save lives, not vaccines. These diseases are only deadly if you live in a third world shithole where you drink shite contaminated water.
Pic related is proof from official mortality rates that vaccines did not improve our average lifespan.
