What are some phrases that annoy you?

Right now, the one that I take most annoyance with is one I unfortunately use all the time.
People responding to thank you with “no problem” or “np”
That response is flippant to both parties. There’s a certain lack of ownership. I feel like it’s a way of downplaying the help provided while not giving due respect to the person you helped. It might not have been a problem for you but it was to some extent for them, otherwise you probably wouldn’t be involved.

I guess the use of "umbridge" instead of "umbrage" would be the one that annoys me the most at this point in time.

I have never understood how people take issue with the response “no problem.” You’re looking for something to be annoyed at if that triggers you. Just accept the alternate version of “you’re welcome” you ungrateful nit picky frick.

hmmm. I actually do this pretty often. the intent is never meant to be disrespectful though. that never even occurred to me.

"It is what it is"
In most scenarios the person saying that is just admitting that they don't want to help fix whatever is wrong

“I mean” before every sentence. I have started to notice that most people do this. Old, young, doesn’t matter

No one thinks “no problem” means there wasn’t a problem in the first place.
