Watching that video I see Payton with the red flag in his pocket, and i think to myself (knowing its not an allowed challenge) -- Sean just throw it anyway. At least make the refs come talk to you longer.

I think its a delay of game penalty if throw the challenge flag for something clearly not reviewable. I may just be imagining that I heard this or saw it called as well.

I actually thought it is a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty, especially inside of 2 minutes when you can't challenge anything. Either way, it is a penalty and he couldn't risk making the field goal try longer just to make a statement.
