We got hosed, everyone knows it, and yeah I am still salty about it. There is obviously nothing that can be done ,and it is over so I am moving on. There will not be an another game ,and these lawyers are suing for publicity. The only thing that may come from this is a review of some kind where obvious penalties not called can be reviewed or it would be part of the coaches challenge. I do hope the ref on the sideline is fired, he should be. I will begrudgingly watch the Superbowl and I hope NE wins the same way they did against Atlanta in the Superbowl 2 years ago.

I’ll tell you why I’m still mad.

I think it’s easy to sit back and watch the Pats go to SB after SB and take it for granted. But for all the years before the ‘09 season and the 10 years after it, I actually respect how difficult it is to make it to this game. It’s fricking hard. It’s unbelievably hard.

Goff and Mahomes are babies. They have their entire careers in front of them... Brees does not.

After having one of his prime years already taken away unfairly for Bountygate, this really feels fricked up.

I agree giantkiller. On top of that, if its the team or player that fs up, last year, then we can get over that as much as it sucks but this was flat out stolen from us when the saints earned the right to go to the super bowl. I cant get past that. People are saying well it shoulda never come down to that and blah blah blah, well it did and we were robbed plain and simple.

I'll be talking about this (IRL as well as on here) long after the topic starts eliciting automatic downvotes.

One of my favorite hobbies has been severely tainted between the College Station scandal and the NFCCG scandal.

This isn't just a loss. The integrity of the game has been destroyed, and as a football fan I am distraught and disillusioned that I won't be able to enjoy said hobby like I did previously.

I can accept a loss and move on with life. I actually get over legitimate losses pretty well.

What really angers me though is that one person with an agenda can proactively determine the outcomes of games at both levels. When people not affiliated with either team start picking winners and losers and imposing their desired outcomes on the teams ans fans, the sport itself is in a major state of crisis.

Football is at a critical juncture. Does it go back to being a legitimate sport, or does the league (and conference for NCAA football) continue to script outcomes like pro wrestling? It's a legitimate question.

me too. was over it quickly last year. didn't take this long in 2011 either. i am just tired of watching corrupt SEC officials frick teams for years not named BAMA and to see this shite now flow over to the NFl is embarassing, depressing and disgracful. I always bragged the NFL had real refs not assclown jokesters like SEC. looks like that is gone now.

Not getting over this one for a while. shite I’m still debating on whether I want to add to the viewers for the Super bowl.
