frick. That.

“Letting it go” is exactly what your enemies in life want you to do. In fact, they count on it.

You obviously aren't a real fan or haven't suffered through enough of the dark days of Saints fanhood to realize that this was WAY bigger than that.

Trolls flood the board with nonsense threads to dilute the legitimate outrage threads directed against the NFL.

The NFL has trolls that are hired by their PR firm that inundate online media to shape public opinion.

With enough inane post and personal attacks on the regular board members, these trolls endeavour to change the subject of the genuine outrage by ridicule, wild accusations, or made up lies.

I think for us as Saints fans it will take awhile to get over it but what I think Sean should to is tell his players have a f*** it attitude run up the score on offense and defense play lights out. Linebacker crew play some highlights from the dome patrol era. Fun note the super bowl next year will be played in Miami, last time it was played there Saints were in it and won

I’m a huge fan, fan since I was a little kid and I’m damn near 40. But I’m not going to mope around like some people because of a goddamn game. I was back to normal by Monday. Way more important things in life than football.

This is not just a game to some. We spend thousands of dollars on tickets, tailgating, and all the other expenses that go with going to a game. Some go to away games, i go to one a year which is never cheap. All the tools that say its just a game can blow me. Im not a dog person but some people are and spend tons of money on their animals bc they love them. I spend a ton of money and time on the saints bc i love this team and to have it stolen from us is just unacceptable. If u are already over this, then go frick yourself

I’m not over it. I’m just resigned to the fact that nothing will be done about it.

As I said in another thread:

That is what is so infuriating about the "it's just a game everyone calm down" line. I understand it's just a game, and I understand players play it and the fans cheer, however I spent a couple of thousand dollars just yesterday and a few more thousand over the past season to watch my team play. I've had season tickets for over a decade. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars supporting my team and the NFL.

You're goddamn right I have and deserve an opinion about a questionable product.

So to have the entire season come down to shity officiating call is truly infuriating. It robs the team and the fans of the integrity of the product and the promise of a fair sporting event. And it turns the tens of thousands of dollars I've spent supporting that product from an honest and professional experience to theft.

To say: it's just a game, get over it is pathetic ignorance at best. It's a gross over simplification.

Reminds me of Rocky IV before Apollo gets destroyed; he tells Rocky:” it’s us against them, you may not know what I’m talking about now, but you’ll know after.”

Dunno why but this thread reminds me of that.

I’m over it, the problem is that one feels an obligation to make sure it doesn’t quiet down. That’s exactly what the NFL wants so it’s a catch 22.

I agree. I have a family, kids, friends, church family, job, etc etc but this is not something I'll be over in 24 hours. Maybe not even in 24 days. I've cheered for the Saints since I've known what football was . I spend thousands of dollars each year to watch them play between tickets, hotels , etc. This team earned a SuperBowl appearance this year but it was taken away by probably the worst non-call I've ever seen in all my life. Life will go on but if you are over it by the next day then you can't truly be a fan IMO.. but hey I'm just a pissant and that's my two cents.
