LSU’s Will Wade on the no-call: ‘The Saints lost that game well before that call’

Wade knows what's up. The Saints didn't lose the game because of one bad call. They lost because their high potent offense came out and had to kick two field goals instead of what should have been touchdowns. The Saints lost the game well before the no pass interference call

quote:
"I don’t mean to bring this up, but I did bring this up with the team. Everybody’s complaining about the call in the Saints game — which was a bad call, obviously — but they’re all complaining about that call. The Saints lost that game well before that call. The Saints lost that game when they had to kick two field goals early in the game when they could have scored touchdowns. The Saints lost that game well before that call.
"The call didn’t help, but my point to my team was, everything you do matters. If they would have executed a little bit better... every detail matters. If you watched the Kansas City game, they intercept it or whatever and the guy’s offsides by three inches. That’s the difference between the Kansas City Chiefs going to the Super Bowl and the Patriots going to the Super Bowl.
“Every play matters. Everything you do matters. Every detail matters. People get caught up in what happens at the end, but games are won or lost well before the end of the game. That’s been my biggest point to our guys today. Everything we do matters and everything we do is going to be measured, whether it’s a championship or just OK. That’s really what we’re about right now.”
“You put it in other peoples' hands, anything can happen. You can be subject to a really bad call — and it was. What can you control? You can control your execution. You can control all that stuff that happened at the beginning of the game. That’s where the difference was.”

This guy did not stay in his lane.

So I guess if his team is bounced from the final 4 on a blown call he won’t say anything

"Bad call" implies a mistake. The refs chose to put their thumb on the scale to further the NFL's bias to big market teams.

You are an LSU and a Yankees fan. Which means you are a bandwagon fan.

Well, of course the entire game is relative to the final score. Doesn’t mean we weren’t screwed when it mattered the most.

Will Wade should stick to recruiting rapists

You can control your execution.
except for you know when the DB makes a helmet-to-helmet hit and knocks the WR down before the ball gets there.
and oh by the way the DB never tried to locate or play the ball.

You realize it was a tie game at the point of the no call right ? Therefore, nobody had one or lost the game at that point. Essentially 0-0. ![](https://i.imgur.com/koIbuP7.gif)

He is correct. The saints also had two chances to win the game after the bad call. Championship teams get it done. The saints didn't

Will Wade is just coaching to make sure his team is locked in on paying attention to the minor details when playing the game. I would tell my team the same damn thing if I was a coach.

It was a tie game and we drew up the perfect play; Looked to me like we were about to go up by 7.

I hate this argument.
Yeah, we didn't capitalize on every possession. Guess what? The opponent has just as much invested in us to stop our drives.
The point is, with less than two minutes remaining, tied up, the Refs missed a serious call. We put pressure on the defense and the Rams failed to execute.
frick THE NFL.

The next time Will Wade loses in overtime the expectation should be that he rants about a missed free throw that happened in the first half.
The spin and deflection is hilarious. Bottom line is that New Orleans did enough to win and was in a position to win and they were robbed. Spin all you want but it will NOT change this fact. The missed PI was the game deciding play. The NFL has a problem with the legitimacy of this year’s Super Bowl.

It’s the equivalent of being down 2 and throwing up a last second 3 and the defender grabs it at the rim but they don’t call goal tending. It’s that bad
He contradicts himself
If every play matters then why weren’t we allowed to have the last play? TLL didn’t even get a chance to make a catch

Jesus. You people are insufferable.
Listen to Hesters podcast last night. You’ve got to take the game for what it is. Having that happen as a player on the field is deflating.
Yes the Saints had chances. But if that call goes correctly, the Saints have a better than 90% chance at winning that football game. And it wasn’t a judgment call, or a marginal call. It was text book.

frick this argument. So you’re saying we “should’ve won” in the first fricking quarter by scoring touchdowns instead of field goals?
You don’t thunk that would’ve changed the rams play calling a bit if we were to score touchdowns that early on? Who knows how quickly they would’ve responded.
What I do know is that HOW THW frickING GAME WENT DOWN IN REALITY, is that we were set up PERFECTLY to win the game. And we got robbed.
So frick you will wade. We lost the game on the most IMPACTFUL and INFUENTIAL call of the game.

That guy is a complete fricking imbecile.
His statement is true.glaring idiocy.
quote:Yes, and everything the Saints did up to that point allowed them to run the clock down, kick a short field goal and win if not for gross incompetence by the refs.
