What makes Brady so damn good? Tony G had a little insight to that question.

Was watching Whitlock and Wiley this week and that question came up and Tony G had an interesting take. He said Tom Brady is good period but what has helped to set him apart from all other elite QBs was his willingness to leave contract money on the table.

Tony Gonzalez says that Brady has left an estimated $100 million on the table. Brady wants to be the undisputed GOAT and in order to give the Patriots the money to keep the talent at an above average level he was willing to take less than the market would have paid. Tony also added that Tom's squeeze makes more money than Tom so it helped him make those tough contract decisions.

Great arm, smart decision making, with a cool demeanor and unflappable confidence at all times

he has someone like dee ford line up in the neutral zone to take away a game losing interception. on the other hand, drew brees gets a no call when his opponent literally tackles his receiver on what would have got his team to the super bowl

He’s spent his entire career in the NFL equivalent of the Sun Belt conference. When half your games every year are scrimmages you get chances to rest players and have live practices with little chance of losing.

It’s okay to leave all that money on the table when your wife makes more than you.

Tonight was Tom Brady's 14th career playoff game with a passer rating under 80.

The Patriots are 9-5 (.643) in those games.

All other teams are 40-166 (.256) with such a playoff performance from their QB during that time span.

It for sure helped the Patriots that their first ballot HoF qb wasn’t the bread winner in his marriage. Makes me a little sick even typing that

d-linemen are afraid to hit him because they will draw a bogus roughing the passer or personal foul call. Thus, he gets extra time to throw and extra sets of downs more often than any other qb. He doesn't need the help, but he gets it anyways.

Dink and dunk offense. Also, prevent defenses.

There's a lot of factors that contribute to answering this inquiry but, in my estimation, it's primarily his work ethic, the chip on his shoulder from all the "experts" who doubted him, and his ability to execute whatever offensive scheme the Pats utilize to near perfection. When we combine all that together, it all amounts to arguably the greatest QB of his generation, TB12's quite literally the SCARIEST QB to bet against because of how clutch he is with high stakes games on the line, the dude simply has IT.
