Pretty timely to have activated Garrett Griffin last week. Also would assume that this would put Dan Arnold active for this week.

#Saints TE Ben Watson, battling appendicitis, has been in the hospital, source said. The hope is to avoid surgery and he’s done so, thus far. If that’s the case, he should be ready for the Super Bowl in what would be his final game — if NO advances.

Hasn't had to undergo surgery so if he can avoid surgery I'd expect he could.

shite!
What terrible timing for him. The guys is retiring at the end of the season and NOW his season may have just ended (not sure if he could play in Super Bowl)

First Rankins. Now Watson.
It’s ok. We don’t want this to be too easy do we?

How do you avoid surgery for appendicitis? I thought it it gets infected it has to come out.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Dan Arnold can do in this game. He took an awkward hit in the Cowboys game (if you recall the one that was overturned to a fumble to benefit the Saints) and has been inactive a good bit since. I feel like he has the skill set to thrive in this offense with more consistent playing time.

This isn’t a huge loss, IMO. He averaged 2 catches and 25 yds per game this season. Hill is the better blocker too, IMO.
