I mean a woman who looks like this doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Prime Minister Theresa May is set to see her Brexit deal rejected in the biggest Parliamentary defeat for a British government in 95 years after her last minute pleas for support appeared to fall on deaf ears. The battle now is over not whether May loses, but how badly.
At least 70 of her Conservative Party, as well as sometime allies in the Democratic Unionist Party, are publicly pledged to join opposition Members of Parliament in voting against her agreement Tuesday. That would translate into a defeat by a margin of 150 or more, the largest in over a century. Even if some abstain, a defeat by more than 100 would be the worst since 1924.

Better before Brexit than after. We'll see if MP's are willing to sign up for a recession.

Farage is a Euro Parliament Member. They hate his guts.
Boris has played this masterfully. One BBC Commenter said Boris is waiting for the final act, and will ride in on his white stallion and save the day.

Let's look at that vote detail for a moment. May got 202 votes. Given that this almost certainly included a handful of opposition Brexit supporters, this means more than a third of May's Conservatives have voted against her.

The people are too stupid to know what's good for them. Thankfully TigerDoc knows.

That's the point. May's job is to ensure Brexit does NOT happen! This "soft Brexit" deal was designed to fail. The whole idea is to set up a false choice for the voters in the UK for either hard Brexit or Remain, where the establishment and media can browbeat the populace with histronics, shaming, and hyperbole so that they vote for Remain in a second referendum. That's the playbook.
Just like Alabama, when the establishment loses, they can give themselves a mulligan. When they win, they have a mandate.

There's nothing anti-democratic about electing a new parliament and if the popular will is there, a new referendum.
